What products to spray on women's skin to give a glowing effect?
I am interested and follow the photography information
cool work i have a question what lighting setup you use for this shoot?
We ended up using natural light
Ótimo conteúdo, está me ajudando demais nesse mundo novo pra mim… Like e mais um inscrito!
It's two light setup
is the picture in 3:45 has been edited or not?
this is super helpful. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Please return to long form content
Danielle, I love your videos!
Hi Danielle, did you use 2 strobes?
Wow stunning. Did u edit them 5:57?
this was such a good lesson and so explanatory! thankyou for putting in the time and effort!
How do you get the outfits for test shoots?
This wasn't a test shoot, it was a commercial shoot for a client. But usually with tests, it's good to develop relationships with small brands and stylists. I recommend asking to loan the clothing from small brands in exchange for the imagery they can then use on their socials
These are beautiful. Just discovered your channel. Looking forward to seeing more of your work here.
Beautiful work!
Would love to know what which Profoto light + power setting you had at 2:34
How do you make this diagram for shooting >
Please note that when you shoot a commercial job, you don't shoot wide open like people that are shooting for clicks. The client just assumes that everything is going to be in focus, so you need to stop down your aperture. Thanks for including your settings!
I <3 this video !
ur No one ...pls watch ma models photo pose competition . If you can i need ur comment .
Fantastic job
Amazing
Awesome 😊
Hi Danielle, just stumbled on your channel and really liked the video! One Question, though: Did you use one or two strobes during that shooting?
Hey , what was the light setup around 2:08 ?
Very much appreciated Danielle! Informative and very helpful tutorial! God bless & good luck!
Hey , do you plan to do an editing video ?
Hey what is the name of your luggage
Hi that backdrop is in vinyl ?
great as normal
thank you for sharing
Confused about the D1 on the background but pointing upwards (1st setup) Then, in the 2nd setup, the background has plenty of light on it, despite the light being flagged and subject at a distance from the background.
The studio has sheer panels on the roof so gets a lot of natural light, so when the sun is out and coming through it's much stronger, so sometimes I use more of the natural/ambient light. When it's cloudy or overcast though, it's obviously darker so sometimes need a light. In this setup though I was not trying to replicate the background and was happy for it be different looking between the two looks.
I know this video is old but I just got the same thing and hotshoe adapter wasn’t included..
Yeah I bought mine separately too
@@dancastano yeah I just found out it doesn’t come it with which is kinda disappointing as I thought it will come with it since most of the reviewers shows it when unboxing. Anyway thank you for your reply.
Your work is insane ! I have a fashion women clothing brand , I would love work with you if I live in Australia
I'm so confused... I bought the light modifier, I did the setup.... did not turn out so crisp and contrasty like this. My shadows were soft, no definition, super flat... why??
Hey so glad you tried the setup out. A couple of things I could think of maybe as options (without being there of course) First, how far was your model from the wall, and how far was your light form the model? Secondly, did you use a diffuser, because that will always soften your light. I think it probably comes down to the first point though, the distances. The closer your light is to the model the more the light will wrap around them and soften off as it's a large light source. Keeping the light a bit further back makes the light source smaller relative to the model and the shadows become harder. I hope that helps? I always suggest having a play when you do a setup, and move your set/lights/models around until you find where your problem is.
@@dancastano Thank you for this response! You know - the distance suggestion really might be it. Will be trying this again because I really love how you did it!
Love your photography style! Will have to try some film in the studio at some point!!
Hey thanks! Yeah definitely do it, it’s such a nice look, strobes on film
thanks for sharing Danielle! Checking in from Los Angeles. I've been binging your videos! They are sooo good, so informative! I've been thinking about renting out a space for a tiny photo studio, and your bts videos have been a treasure trove of information! ❤❤
Thanks so much, so glad it's helping with motivation. We all need that sometimes ha! Good luck with your studio space.
Where is your laptop tether station/tripod from!
Hey it’s a seaport I-visor laptop case and I got mine here in Melbourne from Borges borge.com.au/seaport-i-visor-ls-pro-mag-laptop-case-with-sun-hood
Great shots, great set up, and as you said great model as well! Just getting started with some studio photography, so really appreciate this video! Thanks! :)

Thank you for sharing such awesome insight! As for the types of shots for the swimwear line, is that discussed in a mood board? Or do you make that call? Like for example shooting in F10: to have everything in focus. Was that your call as a photographer or did the swimwear line request they wanted to have everything in focus?
Hi Brenda, usually the client has a shot list that outlines what products/pieces they need shot and in what combinations. From there, in this case, we then decided what position of the models would work best. We collaborated on that, however sometimes clients are very specific about what the shot should look like and this is usually discussed in advance with mood boards and reference images. I chose F10 as for commercial photography like this, it's important to ensure the product and people are all in focus, unless the creative brief is more 'creative' and allows for artistic interpretations, like out of focus elements, blurred movement etc. Hope that helps :)
@@dancastano Yes that was really helpful. Sometimes the lines are blurry when I have to take initiative and when should I let the client make the call
I really really appreciate getting a behind the scenes look of an actual client paid gig :) Watching „RUclips Photographers“ shooting with their model friends just isn’t the same. Also thank you for providing the camera settings, that’s really interesting info! The most valuable for me were the pics you shared with the settings and the WHY you chose those particular settings. Great insight, thanks again ❤
Thanks so much. And I know what you mean, while showing a general shoot Is great, there can be a big difference when doing a commercial job. Thanks for watching
how are these boards or flags made are these thick thermocol painted black
They're usually made out of a thick foam core, or some type of polystyrene
These are short sharp shoots, at open and trading hospitality venues with only 45 mins at each venue, so no time for elaborate lighting setups or loads of gear
I tried to do it with my canon 600 eos with 18-55 lens and godox two lights .. but results are very far from these images
Hello Dear ı love your videos, can you please tell us what do you use for flash?✨
Love that second light setup and how easy you made it
Thanks for sharing!!
Missing your videos😢❤.
They're coming back ver soon I promise :)
Such a nice video. Just curious if we can acheive same results with led lights also. If someone can let me know would be great help!
