I'm REALLY thinking abt getting this tune for my IS. From your experience, how much do I really have to worry abt the reliability loss when installing it? And are there any interval changes between services or things like spark plugs and injectors? Nice IS btw!
@@offlinezyxYT never had n issues with it. If nothing I got more mpg with it. Maybe change spark plugs every 40k

@@jam_thagoat3283 this is an older video I filmed awhile back but never got to upload it. You can hear me say spring so I filmed it back in spring of this year 🤣. I ended up doing a oem BBK upgrade but didn’t get a chance to film it which you will find out in a later video 🤐
Next time, try using cards or cardstock flash cards, then tapping them over. the color looks 👌

hey got mine recently and they arent working correctly. I cant turn them off with the switch inside the car, and I can only change the color when the headlights are on. Right now i dont know what the problem is, but im assuming the shop that put them on might have messed up the wiring. any thoughts ?
@@cammeyer9345 i put them on. No shop did it. It’s only on when you have the drl on or toggle the drls to be on.
@@Jonathan.Nguyen the drl’s are always on, but i can only change the color when the headlights are on aswell
@@Jonathan.Nguyen when the headlights are off they just stay white, and wont change. i think the people that put mine on messed up the wiring so i think im going to take off the bumper and look myself

@@cammeyer9345 my app only not connected once but after I turned it off for a bit and turned it back on it connected fine. That’s only issues I ever had.

@@elpitufo4668 depends how you wire it. I had mine wire to turn on when my lights are on and of course signals

Thanks for the video, I couldn’t get mine to connect to the camera but didn’t realise it had to be in lock mode to pair so now sorted.
What grit sand paper did you use before you hung them up? Also, what kind of material was your splatts made out of? Mine came in the mail and I got someone to paint match it and they noticed there were alot of these spongey looking holes all over them. So sad. If yours was made of polyurethane, you didn't have to use a flex agent/adhesion promoter for that material? How are they holding up! I'm affraid they might get chipped and damaged because they are white and underneath the car.
@@to8840 i don’t remember exactly the grit but it was probably 320. I believe it’s an polyurethane and I didn’t use a adhesive promoter and haven’t noticed any spongy or fish eye on the paint and it’s holding up good!
@@Jonathan.Nguyen yeah yours came out looking very nice. Gonna buy primer filler and hopefully they fill the holes that came with the apron.. I ordered the oem paint from lordco and came up to $80 and it came with a 2 part spray paint. 1st is base coat and 2nd is a clear coat with flakes. You think the clear coat with flakes would be good enough or do you suggest getting the 2k aswell? Was your apron a hard rubber like material? Only worry for me is chipping from flexibility.
@@to8840 never used that paint so can’t say for sure but the flakes will be nice. Mine is a hard plastic

What was the purpose of cutting the side skirts?

@@Jonathan.Nguyen thats interesting because I've seen a video of grey 3is installing his and he cutting them weren't needed for his jack points.
@@prodigy6X04 guess he got lucky or he got the real ones since these are reps I wasn’t able to put a jack in the middle for example bc the plastic was covering it
Did you only trim the side skirt for that one side or did you trim down both side skirts? Are there other jack points located exactly in the same spot on the other side too? Also, what kind of screw did you use? Do you think the side skirts would interfere with those jacks the dealer ships use that go underneath both sides? Did you end up leaving the mud flaps clip off? It was so nice you got some help. lol
@@prodigy6X04 I did the same for both sides and the lifts may have some trouble reaching the jacks points. I actually have another video of me doing the bolts and I recommend doing thay\t instead of self tappers! Check that video out! I ended up removing the mud flap all together I think 😂.
Have you noticed a difference in performance would you say it’s worth the money I know it won’t make as much power as another other car would due to is being a Lexus and them not really being a performance car but this was what I wanted to do next was interested in your opinion

@@TripleYair dipstick was easy. Steering shaft I heard caused issues but we got lucky. It was so long ago I’m trying my best how we did it 😂
@@Jonathan.Nguyen damn alright yeah it’s cause I’m about to get my headers for my 06 Is350 in like two weeks and I’m gonna try to do em myself so I’m just trying to get as much info as possible on how it’s done. Might do a video of me installing them. I haven’t seen anyone do a how to for these headers for a 2nd gen is350, only seen urs and lost visions performance video on his rc350 so I think my video could help a bunch of others out. Thats not an actual RC mirror cause the RC mirror base would be the same as your old one, you could have bought a toyota mirai one which is cheap if youre lucky and its the same gentex model which is gntx 1223. The one you got is a rav4 with front camera at the base so the base is like that
@@jae4910 I think they are just similar because when I bought it, the part number came back as a Lexus RC300. I know the newer Camry look similar to the mirror too now. I got a good deal on this one but I didn’t know about the Toyota mirari might have to tell people that if someone asks me!
I think the mirror is about same size or bigger. The IS OEM just has the bulkier bezel that makes it look bigger. Bro, I've been wanting to do the center console arm rest swap for the longest time. Its probably the only con about the car. Just wondering how easy it is to swap and if all the buttons would work properly. Pretty hard to find the parts too. I think you're next mod should be the infotainment screen swap to a 10,3 inch, idk how you still got that dinky one. lol
@@prodigy6X04 I feel like the mirror itself is same size. It’s easy for the swap I seen people do it already and my friend Devin done it you just need to buy a wire for the touch pad. I found a center console but decided paint is more important rn I hate my tiny screen lol. Im thinking for the android one rn for that clout to play RUclips videos for shows or something lol
@@Jonathan.Nguyen Yeah I agree they look about same size, nice install, the RC one looks nicer and cleaner. You should definitely do that install then I'll do it after watching your tutorial lol 😂👌 Why would Lexus even make a screen that big only to display half of the size of it.
@@prodigy6X04 will do once I get it🤣. This was the first pre face lift after the new generation so they thought if they use the full screen the push start area would block the screen and can’t see regardless from what I heard. Then they realize it was too small lol then fixed it on the facelift version
For the loose taillights, theres actually 3 different clips on the outside lights that have to clip onto it for a secure. Make sure the light goes in as straight as possible aswell as hitting those 3 clips in. I had the same issue but figured it out. If not you'll have spacing/gaps or loose taillights. Also make sure you apply pressure onto the taillights into the body as you tighten them to make sure they are flush. Another note, the cables that slide through the holes of the trunk/body of car, make sure the cables/connectors all go through that hole, if it doesn't then they will be right behind the actual housing and create play/wiggly room.

"We be de, we be de" lmao probably only one that got that. For it not being flush, I believe theres like 3 tabs its suppose to clip into it and it should make a clicking noise. Check the MT Paradise front bumper removal and he explains it.

@@prodigy6X04 no 17-20 is a different shape so it wouldn't have fit just th3 instruction picture was 17-20. Yeah I didn't need to remove the bottom clips when I did it.

@@John-tk6wd thats a tough one. I like the IS because you get good features and not many people have it so it’s little unique. While the brz definitely looks better imo and it’s a coupe I feel it’s over done and hard to make it unique. Also they are built like a tin can. Get the new new face lift of the 3rd gen so the 21-present year

@@AMATOSPORTS this kit doesn’t fit well makes me regret not going Ark. sucks they are discontinued but the rear I felt was too wide for my liking. This kit looks great but too many holes and terrible quality

are these legal to run while driving?
Depends on the state. I keep my just white when driving but some people have it a different color and it’s fine as well.
Do the headers send more heat into the car ?
Shouldn’t unless you had an exhaust leak
