194 bulbs from O’Riley, Amazon etc. will fit both Driver and Passenger Underside Dash bulbs that will brighten up under your Truck or SUV Dash. Took me a few dozen tries but I finally got the Gold Medal! use 2 TC and Steering Sensivity 7. Also use brakes but dont slam them, medium pressure before and around corners will help tremendously to keep speed and not lose traction during steers.

Did you have to pull intake to get the the passenger pcv?
Hey did you order that intake kit for a 3.5 V6 , Because I can’t find one for a 3.6 … is it the same thing ?
@@kiddempstv4817 yes 3.5 and 3.6 are the same as far as the air intake. Just make sure you’re getting it for the 08-12 model. The 3.5 was switched to the 3.6 mid 2009 but yes both are the same as far as cold air intakes. hope this helps
@@TrippyWoodStock you are a life saver thank you
@@TrippyWoodStock Do you have a link to an full intake kit I can order for my 3.6
@@kiddempstv4817 they discontinued the cold air fender eBay kit like I had that goes in to the fender duct hole on the passenger side. However they have this kit on eBay that’s close to mine made by the same person I bought my cold air intake kit from. If you want it like mine you can also buy an extra air intake elbow to go after the MAF Use the extra Bend and you should be able to move the air filter down in to the fender well like mine. Theres a factory made hole you’ll be able to fit it into. (the fender duct like mine) Hope this helps! www.ebay.com/itm/330873059380?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=xiB6a5tTQcC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=ldrhy9lirv6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@TrippyWoodStock only see them for 05-10 would that work?
Man I got to say I love you and respect how you have taken care of this engine. I got the 3.6 in my g6 gxp. Trying to get the pcv issue taken care of now. These engines were a good design internally, they just mis-engineered so many little things like this. Glad to see urs is running strong.
@@jonathanoverfelt6328 appreciate it man I’ve since sold it to a buddy of mine but it’s still running to this day no issues! If you need any help with anything please don’t hesitate to msg me here I’ll help you if I can
Hey man. Appreciate it. if you could link some of the parts that you used, including the catch cans and the brackets to hold them, that would be great
@@jonathanoverfelt6328I posted in the comments below a link to all of the above. Sorry I’ve been working on my custom truck build I just posted a video today 😁 The eBay cold air in to fender kit Is DC’d but can still be made with some extra piping. Catch cans were on Amazon as well as the wraps and silicone spray. I 100% recommend heat wrap from Design Engineering if you tackle the same build I was going with. Engine was pushing about 275-280 HP if I had to say. Roasted tires all the way into third where as before it would just bark off the line. Removing the restrictions on these engines is where you get most your gains.
@@TrippyWoodStock just got my catch cans installed today. Super excited to see how much better the car is going to run. Quick question is it normal for the catch cans to make a little bit of maybe like a small very faint hissing noise. I’m assuming that just might be the sound of the air rushing through them.
@@jonathanoverfelt6328Absolutely Normal to hear a small hiss sound, that is the air flowing through the catch can like it should which is what the PCV does with the air. Make sure it is sealed correctly and there is no air leaks, trust me you’ll know eventually. Some claim a cleaner air in their engine from using this which is true since the residue is now not filtering inside your intakes, and instead being expelled now. (by removing catch can lid) Check the catch can every 3k miles or sooner and see if it’s collecting any old oil, moisture, and crank case buildup etc. if it is just drain and drive every 3k draining.. (keep in mind to focus on figuring out why it’s building crank case residues) If it’s bone dry then chances are it stopped like mine. Mine stopped completely with new PCV & the 3 holes drilled a hole size bigger. Again, I added my catch cans just incase the new PCV ever gives out, and I could stop the electronics from caking with crank case residue and the engine building up pressure like it did mine. (It’s just IMO the best fix for the common issues these engines have.)
I see u connected a pipe to the air box,how did u run the pip to the air filter?
I ran the pipe and air filter in my fender well behind my fender cover/tire. In this video I used what I had present clamps, metal zip ties, and bolts since it was all DIY. I ordered a kit that had it all pre bent and it came with a few pieces in the kit to hold it so I added on to it basically. Ran the Regular tightening mechanic clamps at first, it will work you can get them from Oriley, Harbor Freight Etc. Ive since sold the car and built my 96 K1500. I need to get off my lazy ass and post more videos of my rides lol
@@TrippyWoodStock Thanks,I'm looking to replace mine since it's starting to crack,it's original, the rubber is starting to fold itself in two places.
@@mikebarrows8344mine did the same at the bottom where the air box/filter was housed. Didn’t notice it until I was replacing with a cold air intake lol
thanks to you, my char looks just like my code vein mc- as an adult. i will say that base template kinda matters since the eyes are slightly different despite following all the sliders.
Did you get a code for the pcv valve?
Never got a code for it tbh. It’s kind of one of those things you just either check out of curiosity or you can tell via the oil leaks and the car running weird. It’s a very common issue in these engines I found out. A new rattling PCV with a size bigger holes drilled on all 3 holes and plugged back in will help most ppl using this issue. The true fix is to do this and then add a catch can. No more oil or water in electronics to ruin it. Cant find the link to the PCV I bought but here’s a link to one that looks like kind of it that has 3 holes like the Malibu. Drill into the holes you see in the parts picture to help alleviate crank case buildup. shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-premium-pcv-valve-pca1041/12541328-p?product_channel=local&store=3940&adtype=pla&product_channel=local&store_code=3940&&&&&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD05GhU2J45ln-Ecr2-TI2nTXxY7p&gclid=CjwKCAiAxaCvBhBaEiwAvsLmWArHJ_GDFOseg5T-VZIqDeODaiLlgfIyRSvyNg1Axbq49Yol4F2jjRoCPcsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
yo i have that exact same car and engine setup… what exhaust setup are you running??
Sorry it’s been awhile and I lost her in a car wreck a year ago someone ran a stop sign and T boned me. It’s 100% custom besides the exhaust manifolds. It’s a 1 of 1. I asked for a 2.5 in Custom dual exhaust with a J pipe bend towards the end. has plenty of flow you don’t need anymore than 2.5 in diameter on both pipes For the 2.4. I believe I was using free flow magnaflow mufflers also. I think 40 series if I’m not mistaken.
How much did that run you I’m looking towards sane just song exit tho
If I did not do the cold air intake, set up, how would I do the catch can installation? Can you give me a diagram on what I would need to do? Also can I get all of the parts names.
I believe You can use your factory air intake and run a catch can still. If I remember correctly The line that runs from your factory air intake into your engines intake should be just a hose that connects from one to the other. Just route the hose that comes out of your engines intake to a catch can. then have another line ran from that catch can back into your factory air intake tube. You’ll know which hose it is because it’ll be the the closest one to the throttle body and your air intake. Having them ran and still hooked up Should keep the air pressure steady and things will work how mine does. You’re just putting a catch can in the middle of it basically to stop any oil from getting into your intake tube. You will have to drain the catch can around every 3 thousand miles or so if it does build up. Mine isn’t gathering any oil anymore since PCV fix but IF it ever does, the catch cans will prevent it from clogging all my electronics which is the main issue everyone’s said these 3.6s were known for 😁

Thanks man it was tricky to get it just right. Mustang needs a X pipe that’s in my to do list lol
What you got done to the exhaust on the Malibu?
@@gagestevens6536 2.5 in custom exhaust with piping. New oem exhaust manifolds, both cat converter piping also new on each manifold. (There’s a aftermarket cat pipe design on Rock auto that flows better but keeps oem design) I deleted my 3rd cat and deleted the oem mufflers that are at the end of the exhaust. I ran a dyno max muffler where the 3rd cat was and then a magnaflow muffler a bit after it so it would pass inspections. It sounds wicked at idle and when driving, once you’re past 3k rpm it sounds wild.
this should have way more likes. its great, mate
