I want to like this new synth. I have cash in the bank to buy it! 2x problems: Not "feeling" it yet, plus I insist on a module version.
You only feel the Raspberry Pi chips inside this, it's a VST player synth...a PC with a free VST sounds better, unfortunately. But the tactile interface is nice, I give it to them...I wish they put the Minilogue XD into such chassi, with a Kaoss-pad.
@@Aetila You are probably right about the Raspberry Pi SBC. I believe there's another new more powerful one, so maybe that's inside Multi/Poly? I love Modwave b.t.w. and own one. Maybe I'm not admitting to having buyer's regret! I also own and love Chaos Pad. Another brilliant product.
@@TuppenceHapeny Yeah....I like the new Korg tactile concept with the Kaoss-pad and I thought they put analog/hybrid circuitry in this one...but no, they rely on calculating a sound, like my i7 PC, which is much stronger than the RaspberryP. As a synth lover (owned 30+) I tried to like this one, but I almost immediately hear the "VST sound"...I have some VA synths with true sound FX chips (Radias, AN1X) and they don't sound like a meagre VST, lol.

@@Aetila I have no idea if you are right or wrong, as I never used a computer for music making. I never used the Kaoss Physics on my Modwave either, which I just play from a controller keyboard. My Kaoss Pad is used as a phono pre-amp or occasionally for MIDI.

moog one is nice, ( sound) recording quality could be a bit better as it is b.e more distorted than what i normally hear coming out of the one . or is that on purpose ( espec . the full strings patches in the middle of the demo ) thanks for sharing 👍🌞
Hello, regarding the issue you pointed out, this is simply an over-input to the audio unit. The volume varies depending on the program, but it was distorted because it was set to match the demo song. Please try it on the actual device. Thank you.
Congratulations on your OB-X8! It's a serious player's synthesizer! I remember how surprised I was when I received mine and saw how huge it is, everything from the knobs and buttons to the control panel itself. Even before I turned it on I felt like I was sitting behind the most impressive keyboard synth I'd ever seen. The sound is something my ears will never tire of hearing.
Hello, nice to meet you. It's true that American-made synthesizers are large and well-packaged. This model arrived safely, but the Moog One was defective and the display was broken, probably due to a problem during shipping. I was disappointed after all the trouble of bringing it to the studio. Still, the deep sound of an analog synthesizer is hard to replace. Thank you.

Hello, I used CUBASE for this demo. I recorded a guitar phrase using the Audio Unit and my computer. I loaded it into my DAW and looped it. I output it from the Audio Unit to the effector. Once I've decided on my favorite effect sound, I mix it with the music data. I played the video while playing the music. That's it, thank you.

@@victorivanow8678 This is a demo performance using a software synthesizer. Connect the output of the Audio Unit to the input of the effects processor. And then connect it to a video camera.

I’ve seen in an early review a criticism that if you make a (song), then change the tones, it deletes the sequence. Is this a pre made pattern or one you made? Because it appears you can audition tones freely

OK, so . . . I'm probably going to buy this library/plug-in, just on general principle. If you hunt around in any NI plugin, you can always find new and good things, especially in the Session series libraries. That said, this demo here, this particularly RUclips video, is very underwhelming. Nothing displayed here that other Session libraries can't do. Lots of Kontakt guitar plug-ins that can produce these tones and play these patterns right out of the box. I'm sure Electric Mint is great, but they need to work a little harder on the Demo video, and, seriously, the faux U2 segment will earn you nothing but giggles. It's not 1986 anymore.
