Replay of my live 'Chalking my Block Set'
Where did you get these mugs?
these were purchased several years ago, I believe at dollar tree
love this idea, I have been spending big $$ ON display books for my home, wish I had seen this video earlier.
Oh please make more wooden earrings. Would love to see more of these videos!
Love these!
Love your vision you have for your books
Thank you
My silk screens are not "sticky" suggestions on best way to keep them from moving around on the wood? TIA
These have a shelf life of 8 to 12 times of use - some have more. That being said, try putting the Chalk paste on the middle of the silk screen which will help act as a glue and help keep it in place. When you clean them I use the board eraser and mild temp. water. Than I use lysol or Clorox front & back let dry sticky side up.
@@cheriecriswell469 when you say chalk paste do you mean the chalk paint?
No I am talking about Chalk Couture Paste. They have both Chalk Paste and Chalk Ink. Here is a link: chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell/paste@@mikeledee8786
Where i can get this stencil ?? Or what do you call them
It is a silk screen transfer that is used with either our ink or paste. (Very similar to a stencil ) We do however change up the designs but, you can find all our available transfer here: chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell/transfers-2 Thanks for asking!
hi grandma its me

Is the vintage laurel wreath available yet? Can’t seem to find it.
It has been retired for a few years now I believe. We have a Rustic Home Wreath now

Your vintage stacked books are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your video.
Your so welcome
😍😍😊😄♡
👍👍👍👍👍
Hi. Beautiful! Would you mind linking to the stencils that you used?
👍👍
What size is this frame?
Sorry this took so long, somehow I missed your message. The size for the actual chalkboard is 18 x 12.
Khushi ❣️
Nice ❣️
Thank you. Enjoyed the video👍🏽 so this is okay for earrings being next to the skin, yes? Also what did your husband use to spray and protect the earring. I've been looking for something🤔 Again.. Thanks again for sharing✔️
He used Rust-oleum Chalked Matte Clear, but there are many out there.
I love this! My question is, were you able to get that paint off the back of the transfer? I’m always so worried about that. I rub wax on anything wood that I’ve painted.
Some of it yes, but it is always good to wax and fuzz the transfer.
@@cheriecriswell469 Were you still able to use the transfer? I’m just always nervous when I’ve painted the pallet a bunch. LOL
@@barbaragibbs1365 Yes I can still use it. But it does stress the transfer a little. Try using the board eraser and lysol or clorox wipes. I tried to get the majority of the paint off,
Where can you purchase the transfers?
Hi Stacy! You can get them on my online store. www.chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell/
I want to buy it but what is the name of everything’s to buy I am deaf and I don’t know name of list
Hi Monica! The Vintage Laurel Wreath is now retired, but you can view other transfers and the rest of the supplies in this link: chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell/shopping/addBundle/?Bundle=Sku:A191110;Quantity:1;Sku:P191110;Quantity:1;Sku:PS183108;Quantity:1; Thank you
It takes me a minute.......please stay tuned!
Gorgeous tags. You seemed like you had alot of fun making them. I subscribed to your channel.
My favorite tutorial for this project!! Thank you!! 🤩
They are adorable !!
Thank you Carmen. So easy & fun!
Wow! Very pretty
Thank you! 😊 They are really fun to do!
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Thank you Jean! I'm glad you like it.
Love the way the coasters turned out....esp after using the Rub n' Buff.
Thank you. Yes the Rub 'n Buff really makes it stand out.
very nice! Where do you get your gel from
I made my own gel. Here is the recipe that was given to me: 8 tsp -Thick It 1 T - Ammonium Chloride 1/2 C Warm Water & drops of food coloring. The gel is pretty clear so the food coloring helps to make it visible to make sure you have the transfer completely covered. The burn happens where ever you placed the gel. If you don't want to make it yourself I have heard some people have ordered 'Torch Gel' from Amazon. If used with our transfers be sure to wash with water and a wipe afterward so you can re-use the transfer. 😊
Nice
These are so pretty. Where did you get the stencils
Thank you Maria. These are re-usable transfers by Chalk Couture. You can get them at my online store here: www.chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell/
When are the new pastes going to be available? I believe the formula was changed? And a lot of them are still showing returning soon
The en vogue paste (Tulip, Golden Hour, Pistachio, Shimmer Melon & Shimmer Splash) are all the new formula + Black Velvet and Bright White All colors coming back in stock will be the new formula. Should be within this month and April
Also you can look for Candy Apple, Couture Teal, Raspberry Sorbet, Eucalyptus and Daffodil. These are all the new formula. Currently as of today 3/3021 the following are available: Candy Apple, Raspberry Sorbet, Eucalyptus, Daffodil, Tulip, Golden Hour, Pistachio & Bright White.
Restock today of some of the paste 3 MT & 5 ET
So pretty
What coating did he use?
I used plaster chalk paint
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you!
Pretty
Thank you
Do you always need to defuzz a new transfer?
Our new transfers are very sticky. This just prevents having to pull too hard and distort or stretch your transfer. The lint will come off when you wash it. I don't always, depending on how sticky it is. I don't fuzz when I am inking on fabric.
@@cheriecriswell469 Do you defuzz and then rinse the first time you use it?
@@susanturner1171 No, i just defuzz and chalk. Just make sure you don't get any fuzz in the netting or close to it to prevent the paste from going through to your surface. It really isn't hard once you try it.
@@susanturner1171When you wash (when wet it looses it stickiness) and let it dry sticky side up, the stickiness comes back. That is why you can use it over and over. You can reuse, they say, from 8 - 12 times, but I have used some more.
Would love to see a little bit more detail as you go along - the process
I do have a few on you tube and facebook that goes into more detail. I just received a new shipment so I will be going live tomorrow 3/3 on my FB page for the un-boxing. facebook.com/CraftingWithCherie From there I am going to try a live on my VIP group, to chalk with our new dreamy creamy chalk paste: facebook.com/groups/cherielynesvipandclubcouturegroup I will try to give more details. I am pretty sure you are a member of my VIP group so I would love for you to watch 😊
@@cheriecriswell469 I'm anxious to get some of the new paste. I understand the formula was changed a bit and that's why most are not available. Waiting for my first orders. Excited to get started.
@@susanturner1171 yes! I am excited to try out the new paste. We will see together how it is. As a general rule as they come back into stock it will be the new formula. The ones I just received are the en vogue colors. I'll wait to play with them until I do my live tomorrow.
🔥🔥🔥👍
Which specific products did you use?
Beside the black velvet chalk paste I used reusable silkscreen transfers, these transfers are sticky on one side which makes it easy to apply the paste with the squeegee. Some of the transfers are retired or seasonal, but there are lots of transfers to pick from. Check out the last chance section with the pumpkin patterns www.chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell/product/D193126 I applied the paste using a squeegee. Here is a link to my online store. www.chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell
Susan I have a facebook page that goes into more detail. It is facebook.com/groups/cherielynesvipandclubcouturegroup It is a private group and you have to join. It's Free. Once you are in the group go to Units (it's on the top of the page, under the header) I have a video of the process from start to finish. 😊
What is the black? Chalk paint?
It is chalk paste. It goes on wet and dries hard. It can be removed with water and scrubbing. It is made so that you can change your designs on some surfaces such as chalkboard, glass, mirror etc...all non porous surfaces. The color is Black Velvet www.chalkcouture.com/cheriecriswell/product/P181122
Love it, I’m working with those wooden pieces that would be a nice thing to use. Thank you
Sure, I'm glad I gave you some new ideas.
Love it
Thank you Norine!
Beautiful!! Love it!!❤❤❤
Love this pillow... thank you for sharing! Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas🌴🎄
I love it
Thank you Mary. A fun project
Where did you get your towels? Do you prep before inking, like prewashing?
I have bought them at IKEA & Walmart. I don't prewash, but I do iron and spray the towel with spray adhesive. Let it dry (it makes it a little tacky to help prevent it from bleeding) then I ink, heat set & done. 😉
