On a trip to the Tamworth Country music festival one year, I came across some cattle in mid NSW being pushed along by some cowboys on horseback. The rest of the song was in my imagination. I wrote and recorded “HOPE OF GLORY” on the 17/05/2024. Inspiration for my songs varies in many ways. Sometimes I get a tune first and other times a verse. Lots of memories and a great place.
I loved this, and the memories, of Firpo ( cattle/spaniel) as a child I told him all my thoughts and upsets, he always listened), Swag, an Australian Terrier,( who thought he was a big protector), then with our kids, Prince, (Labrador/cattle ,) a dog who loved to roam the local paddocks, we couldn't keep him yard bound ,wonderful dog. Timmy, (a rescued poodle, just loved everyone, lived until 18 years old). Nancy, Bull terrier/blue cattle cross, (smartest person , protective and loved the teenagers) and last but not least Zed, Red cattle/mixed breed was to be our last dog, she loved everyone. your song fitted each of our fur kids, thank you.
