I am 33 years old and diagnosed with this condition on my right eye. I can say that I was put through immense stress at my job past 4 months. Black spot is slowly going. But vision is extremely distorted and very dark, as if someone switched off a light. Can anyone tell how long it will take to recover? Anything I should avoid other than stress? Thanks

I started taking Vitamin K and in three weeks it is gone. This was after 4 1/2 months. I hadn’t seen any improvement in two months. I tried aspirin, msm and naproxen, and didn’t notice any improvement, each Dr visit showed it getting worse. I had stopped all caffeine even though it wasn’t recommended by my first dr. Watching videos of active leakage had me wondering about what I was eating that was thinning my blood. When I looked into that I realized it would be hard to change. So I started taking a Vitamin K supplement. No change at one week, I know this because I couldn’t aim with a scope. And then yesterday at my dr’s appt I had 20/20 vision and the pocket is closed. I still have some lingering damage that I hope will heal in time. I have also been taking a lutein & zeaxanthin supplement that I think will help. I truly think that nutrition is a huge factor in this and it’s like many circulatory system disorders. I’m going to be cutting back on meat consumption and increasing my veggies. I’m a woman by the way and I don’t know what triggered my CSR.

Thank you very much for this helpful video. I’ve had csr on and off for a few years. Just at the beginning of this year my eyes were very much healed and everything was forgotten about, until my uncle passed away 😩 then I had a reoccurrence. More annoying than anything. I’ve read in places that aspirin and ibuprofen had been shown to help drain the fluid in some. I’ve also heard good things about naproxen and finasteride too. I wouldn’t mind trying medication first as Iam extremely scared at the thought of getting zapped with a laser 🤣 any tips and advice would be much appreciated on coping and managing this annoying infliction

I know there is a lot of research going into stem cell treatment, is there any new news about stem cell treatments? I had congenital cataracts, YAG laser to remove secondary cataract from both eyes and had a corneal injury which only left a scratch. I am only 33 years old so I'm hoping that treatments for eye problems become less intrusive, but also hope that the eye can be fully repaired or made new and of completely natural components.

As a scientifically literate, 66-year-old, eye care patient I've been trying to get a rough general understanding of typical eye changes in later life. I have asked questions of my cataract surgeon and my retina specialist, and have then looked up the structures they mention. As my questions continue, and my online research proceeds, I've begun to get the impression that certain parts of the functional anatomy and physiology of the human eye are not yet well understood even among the best-informed professionals. As an example, I've tried to get an answer to the following question: in elderly patients, after the vitreous has successfully detached from the macula, what substance fills in the potential space (seen on numerous conceptual diagrams) between the vitreous and the macula? The best answer I've gotten so far is that that potential space fills up with some additional liquid-like vitreous humor, rather than the stiff or gummy kind of vitreous that detached. Is that a good description of what happens in older patients?

I have CSR and I'm really dismayed by how many docs I've seen (and dropped) that know nothing about it. Over the years it has flared up 3 times, and every time I have to basically teach my doctors about it before they are willing to do anything about it. Very strange. Spaide is like a breath of fresh air - finally a video about central serous retinopathy with actual information and content. That so-called Dr Kwang guy on another yt account should demand the $25 back for his doctorate, 'cos he's such an idiot when it comes to this subject. I can't believe the kinds of crap he is spreading about CSR that isn't even nearly true.

I have found how to lower my cortisol level that causes the CSR in the first place... I read about a research work that dr John Cryan from Ireland did, he found that lab mice being administered lactobacillus (probiotics) in their diet had a much lower level of cortisol in their system. The 2 main live bacteria in the research were " lactobacillus ruteri and lactobacillus ramnosis". After a brief search I found the right probiotics that had the right culture and strength and started using it... within 3 weeks my CSR has gone! I don't personally do this but I encourage you people to try... it's natural, healthy and doesn't feed the farmacopia hungry establishment. Education it's available on the web for everyone. Peace

There are instances where someone has some systemic disease that is then treated and the central serous chorioretinopathy resolves. It is hard to know if that is coincidence. However, illnesses put stress on the body, and the response to stress may cause central serous or at least make one more likely to have that condition.
