That is an option when you order. Just ask for a lower elevation kit!

I really like the Dewalt saws that had the elevation knob near the front top, because that's a nice location too. But underneath is probably the best.

@@WilliamsHusseyMachineCo I'm especially interested in the RAS videos. I'm a huge fan of the old DeWalt saws, so I'm happy that you're keeping the design alive.

I use 10 inch blades on my old ras. I use various blades, some with 10°, 24 tooth. Some with up to 60 teeth at -5° and when I'm feeling a little brave I may even use a 40 tooth with 15° hook. But I only use that on things like 4×4. Or 6×6. I am going to do some videos about radial arm saw use. Things like how to cross cut, miter, beveled miter, Half laps,dados, and ripping of lumber. I recently started to "re-saw" some 1× lumber, currently I can only go up to a width ( or depth ) of 3.5 inches. My poor old saw can't go any deeper. Would you consider sponsoring my channel ? If I had one of your 12 inch ras with rip capabilities I could make some really nice " Customer" based videos. Thanks .

Buy this saw, make deep cuts.

Wow. That's a REALLY NICE SAW. I would cut just about EVERYTHING with that. My wife and Myself bought a 120 year old house. We have been making trim, mouldings, cabinets, resawing planks, etc.... My poor little craftsman radial arm saw is probably gonna need a funeral BEFORE we are done.
