O tempo bom 830 😂😂
Cool video! Love the vintage IH tractor. I'm surprised those steel wheels enjoyed the 10 mile trip.
Thank you. I am surprised too. I went 8 to 10 mph
She’s dialed in!

Why the music?
The wind was terrible that day. That would be all you would hear
Screw the music, I want to hear the tractor!
Nice black soil;)!. Which State and county is that;)!?
Minnesota, Mower
A CAB!?!?!? Although, we were spoiled too. Had an 830 w/ electric start.
It’s the best sound ever !! Good old Larry and Big John, I thank of him every time I start up my 1956 model 70 diesel . Thanks for putting all this together
Yeah
Most 730s where I am used to pull 5-14s that way in black river bottom soil.
Sounds like you got Larry Sparks riding along!!
John Deere's finest , the 730 !!!!!!!!!
Seems like there were some tough spots, but the old thing kept luggin on.
Me encanta
Loved it!! the tractor and the music
i haw 4020 but 4wd and may cab is different
Moosomin Ryan nagle?
If it weren't for those annoying double cylinders.
?
moi je viens de France et chez nous un agriculteur a en moyenne entre 80 et 180 hectares et le plus puissant tracteur a entre 140 et 230 chevaux et chez vous?
super le johndeere moi aussi j'en est un il a 12 000 heures et le votre ?
How much HP and is it a synchro
dyno
You'll convince me that the plow is perfect for it when you go a gear or two faster.
Nice. Please leave more. I use to farm between Oronoco and mazeppa. Where are you at. (My farm is much hillier) Had a JD 400 without a cab and a IH 710 ASR plow. Just put the snowmobile suit on and go. Please post more and longer if you can. Thanks, Bill
I will post more
f n cool
One of the best tractors ever made
Nice vid, but that engine would sound a whole lot better without the music downing it out.
thats good stuff...i can smell it from here...soil, diesel, love
I remember in November of 1959 Hoyt E Whalen John Deere delivered our 730's new brother a 830 Diesel electric start (Ypsilanti,Mich), it was bigger than life! Our neighbor from the next farm was blown away when my dad told him we were going to pull 6-16's in the clay . I was 5 years old then, I am now 57 and remember it like yesterday, what a sound ! It would make the ground shake. We later had the 4020's & 5020's & 6030's.Those really were the the good old days! 730's and 830's FOREVER!
wy did you ruin it with music god why
Thats a nice setup.... If you made this video on my farm that tractor wouldnt have a chance pullin that plow in my soil..I an old jd pull type 3- 16 deep till. my ole cat turboed d4c has a real hard time pullin it..in 3rd gear.. mostly if it hits a hard spot it makes the tracks spin..Your ole jd..wouldnt have a chance .Cool video..Good to see i'm not the only one still farmin with antique equipment.
Still putting the power out! And the fuel economy is still hard to beat. Ever imagine what would have been if they had put 2 of these engines together to make a four cylinder? What a power house that would have to be.
holy crap! that's a monster!
He's plowing deep in fairly heavy sod. In soil that had already been in production, a 730 could easily handle 5-16's. In sod like this, and as deep as he is plowing, 4-16's is a good match.
Beautiful!
is the tractor with the cab a 820? or just painted like one?
It's a 80 Diesel
@sow2323 why didnt you get closer to the tractor?
I looked up the the 730 specs and it said they can handle a 5 bottom plow, my neighbor plows every year with his 730 and 5 bottom plow, there one of the toughest..
@psypc3 i agree my dad pulled the same plow with a 4020 but it had 110hp on the pto not 60hp like a 730
very nice vid. My dad was a mechanic for John Deere in Almira Wa. when these came out. Next time let's just hear the Deere please. LoL
@psypc3 agreed
nice tractor but to big of implement or add some weigth cause it looks like that disc is really taking that 4020 for a ride
I have the same disc with cone blades. I pull it with my 68 4020 34 inch rubber with duals like yours. Are you in 3d or 4th? The worst part about that disc is dropping and locking the gangs. Fine outfit for a small farm. Nice video.
Nice old tractor. They must wear out really slowly! That looks like a long and tedious job you have to do. Good job the cab.
