The presenter makes one mistake. There were 2 British singers called Paul Young and this is the one who used to sing for Sad Cafe (now sadly deceased), NOT the solo artist who sang Love Of The Common People and Wherever I Lay My Hat.

I always had a very strong feeling that the cool guitar solo on the studio version of Get Up was by Tim Renwick as it sounded very similar to some of the guitar parts he did on Pink Floyd's shows (especially Knebworth 1990) but here's the proof with him doing it live!!!

Young and Carrack, 2 world class vocalists in one band. Youngs passing was such a loss

To have two singers of such quality was a masterstroke by Mike Rutherford. I love Carrack's smooth tone, but Young is one of my all-time favourites right back from his Sad Cafe days. Hard to believe it's been 24 years since he passed.

Brilliant concert from 1995 by the mechanics I loved every song on it, Paul Young in great form singing and on the bongos and percussion , Mike Rutherford on guitars, Tim Renwick on bass guitar and electric guitar, gary wallis on drums and Paul carrack on keyboards and vocals

Absolute class

This is how a world cup opening ceremony should be done. Not like the joke 2023 hosted by India where the opening ceremony was held somewhere in between the tournament in India vs Pakistan league match. It's an insult to all the nations participated in it. Nothing against Indian cricket team. But the arrogance of BCCI should be brought down.
