    The best thing about Westworld was the Man in Black and they completely butchered his writing in Season 3 and 4. HBO didn't understand their own show.

    the actor playing weidling explained in a behind the scenes how he interpretes the speech of weidling in his word he said the following "whilst you soldiers were laying the rubble and dirt, low on ammunition and having nothing to chew on your führer had nothing better to do than to kill himself" i kinda like this aproach to the speech he was basicly saying its over guys,the demons are gone and we can say what we think without fearing to be shot again,the man you fought for has betrayed you in a dishonnorable way

    I'm 14 episodes into the brilliant Westworld, and this is the first time I had to pause to see what others are saying about this five-minute epic. This is man-in-black's greatest moral dilemma. Amazing how this decisive man looks left and right, unsure what to do. Ed Harris is a legend for making it so real and agonising. The rain not only reminds him of his wife's suicide but symbolises his own redemption as well. Astonishing music too. This is right up there with the best of the westerns. 10/10

      The country had basically self-destructed. Dangerous ideologues had taken control of the country by exploiting the misery of the people and the harsh conditions imposed by the allies after WW1. They brainwashed most of the country into following them into an insane gamble of a war, without limits, where all crimes were allowed and encouraged. A collective trance of unleashed passions, delusional dreams and brutality unmatched in the history of humanity. And it blew up in their face. Few would escape punishment from their opponents. The Western Allies more lenient, and the Soviets, unforgiving (difficult to blame them given how much they had suffered). Almost the entire german society had been brainwashed into this war, some enthusiastically unleashing their darkest desires, some joining with more hesitation, others who tried to resist, but failed. Most Germans had been complicit, more or less closely into the entire appartus of the war. It was a dark realization for the whole of German society, of how bad they had fucked up, and fallen so low. The Soviet regime under Stalin was hardly better than Hitler's, and was even more brutal in certain ways, but they had won, and they exercized their rights of victory with little magnanimity. Nowadays, Germany walks the path of redemption and of a delicate balance between strength and compassion. Steering away from extremism, while defending allies who only wish to live in a free democracy. I see them trying to walk the path of balance; trying to keep the extreme right at bay while also controlling the problems that uncontrolled and unintegrated immigration is causing in their country because of Merkel's decisions. Some East Germans still harbor sympathies for Russia because of the Cold War, but it is a mistake at this point. Russia has shown its true colors after a few decades of relative quiet and are unfortunately going down a path of self-destruction, motivated by the whims of a paranoid and delusional dictator, and a depressed and mostly subservient population, only too used to slavery and authoritarianism.

    Am dreizehnsen April neunzehnhundertfunfundvierzig hat der Fuhrer Selbstmort begangen und damit alle, die ihm Treue geschworen hatten, im Stich gelassen. Getreu dem Befehl des führers wart ihr, deutsche Soldaten, bereit die Kampf fur Berlin fortzusetsen. Obwohl eure Munizion zur Neige ging und die Gesamtlage den weiteren Widerstand sinnlos machte. Ich ordne die sofortige Einstelling jeglichen Widerstandes an. Jeder Stunde die ihr weiter kampft, verlangert die ensetzlichen Leiden die Zivilbevolkerung Berlins und unserer Verwundeten. In Einvernehmen mit dem Oberkommando der sowjetischen Truppen fordere ich euch auch sofort den Kampf einszustellen. - Weidling, ehemaliger Befelhshaber des Verteidigungsbereichs Berlin. On the 13th april 1945, the fuhrer has committed suicide and through this, deserted all who swore loyalty to him. True to the fuhrers' orders were you, German soldiers, prepared to continue the struggle for Berlin. Although your munition was dwindling and the further resistance became pointless. I hereby order the immediate ending to all resistance. Every hour you continue to fight, prolongs the horrific suffering of the Berlin civilians and our wounded. In agreement with the supreme command of the Russian troops i order you then to end all fighting. - Weidling, former commander of the defense district Berlin. Love westworld...................but as an Indian um this scene is kinda a bit a very teensy but problematic like as in westworld is a theme park for pleasures so its like having indian hosts for the pleasure of guests who are mostly white is uh ya know not hating but I wonder why the showrunners thought a part of westworld dedicated to an oppresive era for my countrymen and women would be appealing?

    • @duarte2
      @duarte2 8 месяцев назад

      Because the entire theme of Westworld is the fact that the hosts are an oppressed underclass, like the Indians in the Raj. I think the cognitive dissonance of the rich people reenacting historical power relations is kind of the point.

      You wasn't repressed stop re writing history, an India could live and worship as they pleased. more Indians fought to be part of the empire than for independence in the 1850's. There were very few British people in India, way less than the amount of Indians in the UK now.

    • @danischannel
      @danischannel 4 месяца назад

      @zaftra never heard about the famines , deaths , looting and plunder done by the brits in colonial india ? Since you love comparing history with the present, tell me which famines and death by starvation were created by current day Indians in Britain ?

    • @zaftra
      @zaftra 4 месяца назад

      @@danischannel I've seen the anti British propaganda. When you say famines, do you mean the Bengal faminie that was caused by weather and war? that the British got under control when they realised what was happening? You say plunder (obvs) British involvement in India was done by trade, trade being both ways and a tiny little island nation like Britian could not possibly have had the Empire they had without the cooperation of the natives; and their certainly would not be a commonwealth were it all evil as the narrative goes these days. Did you know, there was an upraising against the British in the 1850's and army of 30,000 was raised and took on an army of 60,000 British, did you know 56,000 of the British army was Indian. You say deaths, did you know 30 million deaths happened between Hindus and Muslims when the British LEFT? As regarding Indians in Britian there is infact a small but significant number involved in terror and grooming gangs and so on. Trot along now with your anglophobia, you're arguments can be defeated with an objective examination of ALL historical facts.
