We brought the now 57" x 144" TTMB3R set to Kingston, NY on 3/24/2024 for the Model Train and Railroad Hobby Show, set it up - well, almost all of it! - and then ran it for the many folks that came - it was a great experience for us to see all the people who love trains - many races and creeds, young and old, ladies and men, kids - and Babies! We were able to procure the Lionel Western Pacific Lion Chief from O-Gauge Master Mechanic Rich Meschino - and oh, yes, he did warn us not to blow out the Circuit Board! We assured him we wouldn't, but what the heck, let's try it at 30 Volts of Raw Power and let the Lion Chief Controller regulate it! Here we Test the "Pygmalion" Fused Outlet With a "Williams" Reading CamelBack pulling 24 Cars with the "Proteus" Transformer . We Will Blow that 3 Amp Fuse!

It has been said far and wide that the Transformers For Sale at the Waste and Ruin TrainHaus (realprop.org) need "Protection" from the vicissitudes of the Electrical Fates - so we reached out to "The Brain" and it came back with a Solution! Thus the "Pygmalion" Fused Outlet was born!

We have (hastily) assembled the "Proteus" Transformer Kit and ran it for 1 Hour with a Williams "Reading" Camelback and 19 Heavy Cars... what will happen?

This Variac has a 10 AMP fuse and is rated at 1000 VAC - and it is about twice the size of our 500 VA Model. Still using the Lionel 785 - we are now in "extensive testing mode"! After hearing from the experts, we decided to test the Lionel ZW by using the 1990 Williams Big Boy to pull 28 Cars with it. We have to admit, we need more power! Following the advice on the OGR Forum, we now plan to upgrade our Toroid Transformer... but we will publish a Video of it running Hot!
