Multiple Brush Fires.

*In the state of North Carolina on Chief Officers are aloud to operate audible sirens in their POV's*
County Line and Cool Spring Fire Departments were dispatched to a report of mutiple brush fires along I40.
Arrived on scene to find multiple brush fires scatered between 10 miles of interstate. Units contained and extinguised the fires.

County Line Engine 2 Responding:Chimney Fire

County Line Fire along with Center Fire and Sheffield Fire Departments were dispatched to a report of a Chimney Fire *We had issues finding the house due to no identifications of street numbers* County Line units arrived on scene to find nothing visible with embers burning in the chimney from a fire. Units extinguished the remaining embers before clearing.
Vehicle Fire:Overheated Breaks

12/11/16 County Line and Center Fire Department's were dispatched to a report of a tractor trailer with smoke coming from the breaks. Units arrived on scene and began to cool down the overheated breaks before clearing the scene.
Working House Fire:Overhaul Operations

Dispatched to a working house fire. Arrived on scene to find a fire that had pretty much been knocked down. Assigned to go in for Overhaul with some fire suppression. Sorry about my camera. It makes some weird noices throughout video.

12/07/2016 *In the state of North Carolina, only chief officers are permitted the use of audible sirens in their POV's* Dispatched to a reported vehicle fire, caller reported smoke coming from under the vehicle. Units arrived on scene to find a mechanical issue and cancelled any further.

    Umm, permitted to use red but no siren? Seems legit. weird state legislation for POVs.

      natedawg809 they might not have been able to afford a siren yet or they may not have thought it necessary to use the sirens due to the time of night

      natedawg809 cant use sirens in the good ole state of North Carolina just lights

      Some states blue is reserved for police only, and most police use blue only. Such as Kentucky. But Kentucky says if red lights are active siren must be active too. That’s for all fire and ems vehicles including volunteer POVs equipped with such.

    Didn't see any brush firs... just grass. Could have used a fire flap to put those out or my shoes. YIPES.
