Absolutely! Moral relativism keeps mankind in chains. It’s one of the biggest roots of unbelief as well, after pride of course [but it stems from pride anyway]. So many of us walk around essentially believing we are God and should determine our own morality. Therefore, we don’t surrender to the eternity and moral obligations God has already placed in our hearts. Moral relativism goes against our own human nature since we were made in God’s image! I just read The Reason for God by Timothy Keller, Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, and Tactics: Strategies for Discussing Your Christian Faith by Greg Koukl, and they all talk about how humans already have this inherent knowing that our actions ought to be restrained (like the dam you mentioned). This is why even those who aren’t believers feel like killing children is bad and being rude to others is bad. What determines these “moral obligations” or this essentially fundamental “code of ethics”that we all -Christians, Muslims, atheists, etc. alike- have already anyway? The eternity God has placed inside us! The fact that we are all image-bearers of the most High! It’s about time the world give in to that innate knowing, and seek the truth of the Bible. We all need a specifically Christian code of ethics. Great job, classmate! #Power🔋
