Because they were originally from the band Tokyo Shoegazer. They broke up and formed CQ, but reunited few years after.

I don't know why, but this song has a real mid 2000's vibe to it. Reminds me of Phoenix or Two Door Cinema Club or something. I can't quite put my finger on it.
Twodoor cinema club is exactly who I thought of glad I'm not imagining it... checked out tokyo shoegazer and I was kind of disappointed it wasn't more like this
