    Regarding cold climates, not all kangaroos have thin fur. Kangaroo Island in South Australia is a fairly cool place in winter and the kangaroos there have thick, warm fur. And the males on the island tend to get very large (another asset for living in the cold.)

    Hi NvForest Your RUclips video content is really good. but views and subscribers are much lower. To increase subscribers and views, you need to do channel SEO meaning your videos are not fully SEO. SEO is not friendly to your title. The SEO score is very low. The main reason why videos go viral is because of video SEO and organic promotion. If you do SEO and promotion then lots of views and subscribers will come to your channel and you will be able to monetize your channel in a few days. I can help you if that's okay with you. If you want. Thank you

    I stopped watching because all you are doing is using stock images and videos of places that are not in Niger and that do NOT show what is really happening there! You are showing American ignorance and arrogance by doing this! Yes Niger is trying to stop desertification but you showed no images of how they are doing this. Please don't put up content about something unless you actually know a lot about the subject! It doesn't respect the people who really are doing something to stop desertification from continuing on their lands.

    In Australia our deserts do get rain although usually only for a few days at a time. Whenever it rains plants grow and bloom quickly. Then die off and scatter their seed ready for the next rains to do it all again. Some of our deserts have low growing bushes or grasses with the occasional tree. Most have spinifex which is a grass that starts off a a clump of grass and then grows into a ring as the grass in the centre dies down between rainfall events but the roots remain ready to give life at the next rains. Not every desert is super sandy but all have poor soils. Some are full of small pebbles which are hardened by the sun. Some have low growing saltbush. Others have grasses and small plants scattered in the areas where water pools or in sheltered spots. And sometimes there is a surprising large tree such as I encountered in the middle of the Simpson Desert! Sometimes there are trees which grow super slowly and are scraggly. Deserts are fascinating places!

    Maybe we could turn the deluge into something beneficial. Imagine rock dams in gullies to counteract flash floods and prevent erosion; contour trenches, swales and strategically placed reservoirs to capture and store water in the ground. The idea is not to let any of this precious water runoff into the ocean and be wasted. If the stored water can find its way into aquifers so much the better for long term sustainability of a greener environment. Yes, at first the wildlife will be traumatized, but I think the hardier of the species will adapt accordingly and thrive in the long run. Just tooting my horn for what it's worth.

    Regenerative Agriculture: Allan Savory, Dr. Walter Jehne etc. Restoring Earth's natural hydrology, i.e. free water delivered via the coast. BTW dirt never loses it's fertility, what has to happen is the restoration of the life underground (fungi, bacteria, arthropods and worms - then it becomes soil) and then using the by-products of that to extend the arable area a little bit more. White man's magic? Any desert can be re-greened with an initial investment followed by multiplying the accrued benefits. Domestic herbivores (ruminants mostly) are vital in this process.

    Wow, From your video, it seems the people of Niger just suddenly woke up and abandoned their 2.000 year practice of slash and burn agriculture, unlimited goat grazing and unlimted cutting down trees for fuel. That would be great and the progress they have made on their own, as the people of Niger, is loudable. Unfortunately, we all know this is not the case and any change in their practices is only possible due to help, guidence and money from the western nations. And even with all this help, any change in grazing or forestry prectices is a hard fought battle as local tribal leaders resist any change and have to be take by the hand like children and shown the way. Please don't pretend African nations did this on their own. Ask any western organisation, and they will tell you the resistance to change is incredible and only a hand full of local visionaries (or locals who get a good deal out of this) make change possible in the first place. Left on their own, the whole "green belt initiative" region would wither and die as local leaders are more interested in power and wealth and don't give a diddlydang about the people.........

    This is a bogus video. The whole advertisement is to open one's purse strings and donate to a mafia in the name of international aid for the african country. Sometimes the visuals show desert areas and sometimes they show lush green fertile patches which are impossible without water. Kitchen gardens with american african youngsters are being shown instead of real native population of niger. This is a total hoax of a video. Even the channel is therefore a hoax. I wonder what is the name of the charity these hoaxers want donations channelled into

  • @kussh100
    @kussh100 4 месяца назад

    The visuals do not correlate with the audio. Eg urea is being sprinkled by hand in lush green fields. While barren land is shown without any manmade bunds across the eroded gullies or dried up streams. Seems a complete waste of time

  • @kussh100
    @kussh100 4 месяца назад

    It seems most of africa has seen desertification because of the slave trade, political upheaval and the robbery committed by continuing greed of colonisation. I suppose niger is still controlled by the french thru their control of its currency and that of some 12 other countries in the region. Otherwise why would suddenly a fertile region suddenly stop practicing sustainable agriculture existing since centuries or thousands of years and self destruct.

    Like a desert is not a valid biome. Is there anyone else on this planet who realizes that turning natural desert into a forest is no better than turning a natural forest into a desert? Look at a map. The Great Sandy desert is at the same latitude as the Namib, Kalahari, and Atacama

    How do you explain why this happened before, far before humans? How do we know the Earths normal temp isn’t warmer then it has been over the last 1000 years? WE DONT KNOW! I think we’re trying to control an uncontrollable entity. We know the ice caps weren’t there a million years ago. I agree that we need to tighten up on pollution and waste but thinking we’re all gonna die if the world warms a bit is ridiculous.
