Well done, Steve. Nice ambience & production.
Now I sort of think it needs a snare drum. Coming along nicely!

Very nice - are you a fan of Ashra ?
Thanks very much for listening to this recent piece.🖐
Reminds me of Unforgetable fire era U2
Delightful!
Spacey vibe.
What a piece of guitar history!
Sounds cool
Steven this is really Robben Ford playing ? where was this recorded? do you know the title of this song? again thank you for putting this up on YT. the other musicians are very good as well..
Steve, how in the whole world did you find this recording????!!! TYTY Is he brilliant or what??
wow! Mike Stern before Mike Stern! unbelievable
Robben displays his horn-like phrasing here in spades. He has always said he listens to sax players, not guitar players.
Saxophone was his first instr ument.
if it wasn't for his epiphany when he first saw a live sax player, watching with his Mom at a local concert, would there be a Robben Ford virtuoso? he wanted to be a performer playing on stage he says "like that guy". What a understanding mother to surprise him with a saxophone very shortly after. he was 10 years old i think at the time but once starstruck by seeing guitarists & hearing them play - wasn't it a Paul Butterfield Blues Band Album with Mike Bloomfield that struck lightening in his heart? and his journey began....
Alan Holdsworth was the same about sax lines on guitar. 🎉
I was at a well-known music exec's home in 1987. He played a cassette of RF sitting-in playing Giant Steps. It was a live recording at an Italian restaurant in LA and to my ear, was the most melodic solo on the tune that evening. (personally hate the tune) Forgot the restaurant name but all the 'players' went there and would sit in. I believe JP was there as well. Lotta years ago. RF was super and still is.
Very cool atmospheric sounds!!!
Although I like it, for me, the bass is not needed.
You should mention who wrote the music. John Scofield
Excellent composition....
I don't know why yt recommend that, but I love it!
