It has been said that Jesus waited until his mother was ready for him to begin his journey. Knowing the suffering that would follow it was her word, and his deep care for her wishes, that initiated his mission. He allowed her space saying, ‘it is not time yet’ but her affirmation suggested her full support in that moment. Just as any good child asks permission from their mother, so too does Jesus here. It’s not that he couldn’t have done it before, but upon her and the Fathers will. Love this series.

Here is my thought. If it was the purpose of Joseph Smith to write a book in order to decieve people and set himself up as leader of a contrived religion, he certainly went about it the hard way by writing of things of which there was no proof at the time and which would make his writings less believable in the eyes of many. However, as in the case of horses and elephants we now know these animals actually originated in the Americas and would have been extant in the time of the Jaredites and the Nephites.

I've watched this clip over a hundred times (literally), and shed tears every time. Aside from the obvious mention of Jesus seeing Nathanael under the fig tree, my primary focus is on the part at the end. Seeing heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. This is the most fascinating part imho.
