A lot of the dresses in the video are Somali culture not Oromo. It seems as though Boranas value Somali culture over their own. Somali culture is clearly desperately wanted and admired. Congrats anyway.
Not really. Those "Somali dresses" are made by the South Asian merchants, weavers, craftsmen, etc, who settled in what is today Banadir region of Southern Somalia (not far from Moqadishu). These Asian weavers - with the help of their bantu slaves - created, weaved & exported these dresses both to nomadic Somalis & Boranas none of whom weaved clothes & looked-down on crafts as a source of income. Basically, the orgins of these dresses are muslim South Asian weavers known locally as "Bajun", etc. So much so, the Boranas call those dresses as "Banadirii". OK? Yihichi doma ras zelan.
