I have not done any upgrades but I did replace the rear suspension on my other MXZ. I would like to look into upgrades eventually though for sure.

If you look in my description I have everything I use to record listed. I use the GoPro hero 5 with the ulanzi v2 housing and I clip it to the jaw of my helmet using the dango design gripper.

That’s crazy! I doubt we do anymore though. A lot of our snow melted in the past week.

Yeah I definitely needed to sand it after I ran the wire wheel over it. turned out pretty smooth but I definitely learned a lot from this build. this was my first snowmobile I ever rebuilt so there were a lot of things I should have/would have done differently looking back on it. Good learning experience though.

monster khaos I searched for months and finally found some on eBay. I’ll search tonight but they don’t last long if they do get posted on their. They are definitely hard to find!

monsterkhaos, did you find the drivers for your colt? if not what is the actual date of manufacture of your sled. I have a guy that repops the 72-79 colt drivers and I believe there are earlier ones out there as well. Let me know the above info and I can get you his info if you still need it.

I actually have some set aside to do that. I just haven’t welded them on yet. This sled is actually completely tore apart right now. I had a donor sled that I am taking all the good parts from to do a mild rebuild. My most current videos are actually of that process. Been pretty busy so I haven’t made a video in a while. Troll Trama No holes. Just a few pits and I wanted to smooth out a few dings the we were unable to knock out. I used a wire wheel on a grinder to get most of it. Sand paper for parts. I have a video of the prep process if you want to check that out.

My Old Sled thanks for watching! I love these old sleds. They are what got me into snowmobiling last winter. I have a 1997 Ski Doo MXZ 670 that I’m starting a series on next week. Bought it and it’s sat behind a shed for years so we shall see if she still runs! I love reviving sleds that people classify as “junk”!
