I remember seeing this for the first time and having a hard time processing what I watched and my feelings. Colin’s performance was so moving and real. Even when I rewatch this I always cry.

I wish they talked about Peyton telling Haley to “be careful” with Nathan. That line opened up many different dynamics between Peyton and Haley and Haley and Nathan.

I’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again. I can’t stand how some people have made Peyton out to be some backstabbing bitch over the library kiss and her feelings to Lucas. I think in this instance, she deserved some grace. Maybe it could’ve been handled differently sure. But also. She’s 17 lol. And as far as her feelings to Lucas, she was just trying to be honest with Brooke, she wasn’t planning on doing anything about it. She just wanted to be honest. Phew.

The gross scandal conversation reminds me that when I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL, my friend group got rocked when one of my friends found out her dad (A PREACHER) was f*ing another friend. WE WERE 12-13!! Just adding to the conversation about how effed up stuff happens at church 😅

As a Brucas shipper like crazy in the past fighting (verbally) with Leyton shippers, I'm so happy to hear that Sophia and Hilarie actually found them cute. As me being an adult now, having a lot of sympathy for Peyton when rewatching the show! The podcast is so great. The beginning when Joy is super open emotionally is beautiful. As an adult, I'm still shipping Brooke and Lucas and will always do!

What Sophia and Jana said about relationships with safety, peace, past trauma and what's right for you... that hit hard!! Love deep conversations like this!!

I'm commenting too much, but these episodes always annoyed me (even though S4 is one of my favorites) 😂😂😂 YES!! The writers never really showed Haley's point of view, everything was always "between the lines" and, for me, that was all nine seasons. They never directly showed anything about her or her family, like the other three brothers and the other sister who never appeared or when Karen tells Keith that when she and Lucas met, Haley told Karen that "she came from a big family and they needed her more", like this eight-year-old girl says that her own family doesn't need her and no one says anything about it? But I think the whole Haley getting pregnant storyline was there from the first season. Rewatching, I realized that there were always some hints of "everything that happened will happen again", like one of Scott boys having a baby in high school: - First, it was Peyton wondering if she would "end up exactly like Lucas' mother" when she was dating Nathan. - Then Nathan trying to get closer to Haley, just to hurt Lucas. - Then Brooke thinking she was pregnant, but Lucas kind of woke up to his behavior when that happened - so, no, it wouldn't be him. - Then, they started giving a lot of attention to Nathan and Haley's first time, which made it clear that it would happen to them. - So the characters started joking with it: Haley's parents thinking she's pregnant when she and Nathan asked to talk to them/ Brooke throwing the whole party thinking it was true/ Whitey giving the baby blanket to them and telling them to keep it, just to be sure. Because "You'll never know. Nathan is a Scott, after all" - And S3 there was all that unnecessary drama of "are you trying to trick me?"

The show never explained this but I always thought that Haley and her parents kind of grew apart after they left town and even though she missed them, she no longer felt like she could count on them and ask for help (When Deb was mean to her after the wedding and she came back to their house crying, they were sweet and gave advice but basically told Haley to go home and deal with the situation on her own/ When she was lost and confused in S2, they didn't show up/ They chose not to go to her and Nathan's second wedding - If Lucas and Karen weren't there, she wouldn't have anyone from her family on the day/ She was pregnant and, again, nothing/ They said they would go to the graduation but they didn't show up/ When she needed someone to babysit Jamie in S5, she called Deb). To me, what doesn't make sense about this episode is the fact that Haley tells Karen what's happening and she doesn't offer help. I think the writers were just looking for a way to make Dan Scott part of the situation, without any need.

Honestly, at this point in the series, they should have just rented a two/three bedroom apartment and all lived together until graduation: - None of them have their parents around (and when they do, they can't ask for help or the parents make the situation worse); - Nathan and Haley can't pay their bills, with just Haley's salary; - Brooke needs a place to live (Yes, she's living with Rachel, but I don't know, it's still kind of weird); - Peyton cannot and should not be alone. And yes! The girls needed to be together, and it could have been a lighter moment after everything that happened. (I don't know, maybe Brooke and Haley go to the apartment to listen to the message on the phone and Peyton is at the door waiting to talk to Haley. They go in and don't talk, they end up getting distracted, maybe watching a movie. Brooke gets a text from the guy, but she decides to ignore it and stay with the girls. When Nathan gets home, they are laughing/crying/having fun but without Peyton and Brooke talking directly to each other)

I frequently dedicate myself to rewatches!! Usually at the most inconvenient times. I procrastinate through the other stuff I'm meant to do... 😅

Clothes over Bros being purple gave it a visual distinctiveness that 1. not many clothing stores have today IRL - they're all bland cookie-cutter places and 2. meant it stood out from the oranges and browns the show used everywhere else, which it should as a NYC transplant.

I swear, the casting directors always knows who’s right for which character. Cause NONE of these people would have been right for the characters they initially auditioned for. Everybody was PERFECT for the character they portrayed in the end🤗♥️

For me Nathan was unfair to Haley to say I don't have to feel guilty he should have comforted Haley while she was afraid with the pregnancy afraid of her reaction I find that on his Nathan was selfish again as in season 1 that it is always necessary for someone to open his eyes to arrange things with Haley he should never have gone to Rachel's he should have spoken calmly with Haley about their situations for me Nathan was cruel and selfish in the first minutes of the episode in his place I will stay I will have reassured Haley and would have held him strong in my arms would have turned him and I would have been happy❤

Brooke had a birthday season 1 or 2. It was a big deal because Peyton wasn't sure if she should turn up at the mall and do the pretend shoplifting thing to get her a present. ❤

👏👏👏 LOUDER! I always thought it was wild that the bad brother was loyally with wifey by Episode 8 and the good brother was playing Brooke and Peyton for YEARS.

Not me crying instantly. This episode is so hard but I watch it every time I rewatch the series.

I always thought this episode was written by someone who never watched the series, there were so many things out of the characters and previous episodes: - In season three, Haley was the first to say that she would go to Duke with Nathan because he deserved the opportunity to participate in the basketball program. She even does some research on the college and that coach and tells Nathan how amazing it would be for him to be a part of it. So why all this unnecessary drama about college now? - Since Lucas joined the Ravens, Haley always goes to the games, even if they are fighting or not talking to each other (the only times she didn't go, she was working). When she started dating Nathan, she did the same for him. She would definitely go to the press conference, even without resolving the situation. - Rachel was still going through the whole Cooper situation, she just said she needed therapy to fix it and she puts Brooke in the same situation? It doesn't make sense.

As far as Olympics go I watch both. I like the equestrian and gymnastics. And in the winter time I usually watch figure skating, snowboarding. As a Canadian curling as sport is a little weird. These podcasts are great and hilarious. It's funny now because as I'm listening to this episode podcast for the first time and yesterday I saw a short for where Joy asked the question about manipulative situations and Nathan and Hailey's relationship and I had left a comment there. Similar to what's being discussed now.

Sandy goes to visit to prison to interview a client (because he is a lawyer) about a missing person that he knew back in Berkeley for his old law school professor (where Sandy went to college) because his old law school professor is dying & has a daughter named Rebecca and she went missing, but she comes into town to see Sandy, who used to be old flames and engaged & she had ran away from a fire on a lab site in the day.
