I've been watching this before when I was still young and no knowledge about the word "grooming" but when the time I came to realized the meaning of that word I felt like 😬😬😬😶😐

It feels weird watching this as an adult knowing that Jervis "groomed" Judy. He is an adult obviously has a lot of power over her. She’s beholden to him and required to a certain degree to obey his commands. Contributing to the imbalance greatly (and further squickifying the squicky part) is the nickname she gives him, which she generally shortens to “Daddy” in her correspondence. It certainly doesn’t help that at points in the story “Daddy” manipulates Judy or outright refuses to allow her freedoms, seemingly with the goal of keeping her away from other men.
Opino exactamente lo mismo Jervis manipulo a Judy y en cierto grado la privo de conocer a más chicos. A diferencia entre Candy y Albert esto no pasa.

@@matchapatissiere5146 yeah I watched as a kid so my memory is trippy but didn't she look up to him as kind of a father figure? Hence why she was calling him "daddy long legs" because she'd only seen his shadow and thought of him as a surrogate father. It's so weird to pay for a little girls tuition and everything and then fall in love with her when she isn't even legal
