So underwhelmed, I like the palette but the rest.... seems like leftovers. Purple blush is great on cooler toned skin. I agree that this is not a “creative” specific box. I had it in my cart so many times but decided against it ultimately but I wouldn’t use the lip products and the cream blushes would just be another cream blush in my collection. I love the palette color story but am not super sure about it, even if I could pick it up separately.

I am planning on picking up the Titanium Foxes Grackle Chat and Poppy Storm. I am curious about Artitude Cosmetics, so waiting to see the second release. I will pick up the new Divenah eyeshadow bundle and some Blushes from Dandylion cosmetics. Ensley Reign is my favorite indie brand, but I do not have to buy everything. I bought the Cosmic Beauty Undergrowth and I only used it once, I just do not reach for it.

I gotta admit I really enjoy these videos. I find myself hoping you'll pick a particular product. You've got me doing something similar. I get my work week's makeup all set up on a Sunday. Carefully matching shades and my mood. Quite calming and therapeutic. I keep seeing adverts for makeup desks and hutches. The temptation to buy one is strong. Complete with a lit up makeup mirror. It would bring my life long fantasy of being a 40s starlet to fruition. 😂 Thanks, Melissa, for bringing us with you on this fun journey. 😊

Maybe sort the pans in Metropolis in a better way (magnetic and movable) that doesn’t assault the eye (the randomness bothers me) ….That won’t change the colour warmth, but you may find yourself drawn to it for more use?

I also decluttered the Dominique transitions palette without using it and I’m ok with it! I keep two palettes close to my vanity for when I need to pull in a neutral blending / transition shade and they are ones I already know and love (Blend Bunny All Done Up and Colourpop Precious Metals). I bet if you shop your stash you’ll find a similar palette with neutral mattes in a formula you know you can depend on! Typically everything I declutter has to go to purgatory first so I can be absolutely sure I’m not still thinking about it. I struggle to let go even though I have so many of each category. I feel like Gollum with my precious when I walk in my beauty room. 😂😂😂

Omg I HATED the Elemis primer. I felt like I could never get it to look good-too much pilled, too little didn’t sit right, applying it too soon after skincare pilled, waiting too long after skincare pilled. I had mine for a couple years before I tried to pan it, so that may have had something to do with it, but we had a mutual hate relationship. I didn’t like it and it didn’t like me either lol. I have heard a lot of people like it too though, so I hope you enjoy using it. I’m looking forward to hearing how it works for you!

I feel really overwhelmed right now too. I think you’re making great decisions. I am not a fan of the Dominique Cosmetics formula and I have never tried Scott Barnes but those palettes are very basic and we have those shades 100 times over, right? Great job, friend!

People saying you can use xyz eyeshadow palettes as blush and face powder is so silly to me. I’m sure some people do that, but 99% of people are not doing that. Eyeshadow formulas are so different than a good blush formula and a lot of us have more than enough blush/bronzer/powder to use. I think if you’re into less mainstream brands like blend bunny or Dominique you’re not a makeup minimalist. That selling point kills me it’s so silly no one is doing that people stop justifying

I don’t mind the pictures of products vs the actual products, especially if you prefer to show your real-time expenses for the month. Maybe if you still want to show the physical products you could start the following month’s video by showing the products that you purchased previously but hasn’t arrived so it’s kind of a mix of the two?

I think if a product has a lot of talc / clay in it then it cracks and falls apart when it’s repressed. My Mac powder foundation did the same thing, it’s a mess to use now!

I'm interested in Viseart palette. Love their formula, so easy to work and look always sophisticated. However, Oden's Eyes new release is an easy pass for me. I don't think you need them either, Melissa. Try to look at their color stories based on mattes. One is preliminary red-toned and you don't wear reds that often. Another one is pastels with some almost neon bright pops. Neither of those shades are your favs. Plus you already have pastel palette from OE. Yes, both palettes have pretty shimmers, but I'm sure you can dupe the vibe of those with palettes you already own in your collection. Also what I noted with this brand - those palettes do not age well. Especially shimmers get hard pan quite fast, so I decided to buy Oden's palettes only if I'm completely inlove with a color story.

I didn't like the hack of using the lip balm under the eyes😅 I've never tried anything else from aquaphor yet 😊 you should do a challenge for yourself to use only samples for 1 month and see how many you have left. I had decided to use all my samples a while back, skincare only and it took 4 months and I do not or did not have your sample collection. Exactly what I was looking for, although I use the Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting and not the Self-Refreshing, your explanations were clear and precise enough that it helped me make a choice. I especially like how you said the Synchro-Skin wear away naturally at the end of the day because I think so too and it's one of the reasons I love this fondation.
