I Finally got a few hours spare to play EA Sports WRC and soon realised how bad I was at it! Even after completing the 'Rally School' Apologise if my commentary is hard to hear I didn't realise how loud the game sound was coming through until I came to edit the video! I know for next time. Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel And Pedals Unboxing Set Up
Man doesn't follow instructions...Man screws up assembly, Man blames product.....Silly man..🤣
I have an issue where the Home Screen is very dark
It didnt take me that long to build. I received mine week ago and was done in just over 3 hours and 1 hour extra for triple monitor mount. I had quickly checked manual beforehand day before as it's available in web, so i had some understanding where everything went. Plus i have photographic memory, i pretty much still remember the manual from memory, so i think the key was photographic memory helps alot.
Should have watched Boosted Media's video on tips for building an 8020 rig.
Wait got the g7 latest one tizen installed? Because iam kinda looking for a monitor for my ps5 but also was looking for something that can run a iptv app when connected to the internet for when i go to a Lan party or when i go for traveling with the camper
Hey, I've got a question. When you turn on your PC/laptop, does the monitor just switch on and show the desktop? I mean, like any other monitor without smart TV functionality, so you don't need to select anything with the remote or do anything every time you turn your PC/laptop on.
If I remember correctly I think you can turn the feature on or off. Next time I use it I’ll double check for you
Thank you so much!
So it does have ‘auto source switch+’ so it should automatically switch.
Thanks for the response. Very helpful. Much appreciated!
Bought mine second hand........and pre built hahaha
A wise decision! 😂
This monitor is not fresync compatible and you shouldn't use game mode if you have amd card as it casuing issues , ive even head that to be the case with nvida aswell
Wishing you well man hope to play soon
Alright mate!? Hoping to get back into it soon. Works blew up recently so been absolutely flat out. Need to get back to the live streams.. if I remember how to set it all up 😂
good lad, good review. Loved the dog part
Not sure how HDR works on the PS5 since I don't own one, but it 100% works on PC. It's decent enough, you'll get great colors in games that support it, but the local dimming feature is a bit awkward to use for regular web browsing so it's better to turn it off when viewing SDR content.
Your complaints are valid but apply to every single profile based rig
I built a TR 160 Mk 4 - 10-12 hrs! It’s brutal probably 8 hrs next time.
Looks like you just went head-first into this, hence your frustrations. As someone who builds flat-pack and equipment for a living, laying everything out in sequence, pre-planning, being careful, and following the instructions exactly is the best method. Much faster, better quality finish, and no screw-ups. ;)
Im not gonna lie logitech has really impressed me with the detail felt. May be the most detail of any dd wheel ive felt before.
The pricing is so much above the g923 😐 Logitech should have a model with direct drive between the g pro and g923. Like a g924DD not as strong as the g pro in the same housing as the g923 (and same pedals as the g923).
What are the best settings
I feel your pain. I built my TR-80 lite 2 years ago. Even though I am in my 50s and have been an IT network engineer for 30 years, and even though I do all the repairs around my own house, and even though I always work on my cars, it still took me over 6 hours to assemble my rig. Six freaking hours. Yes I took my time but dang these rigs still take way too long to assemble. 😮 I've spent another 20+ hours fine-tuning and adjusting it since then. The 8020 bars were still covered in burrs on the ends and was missing some bolts and other bits. Had to contact support and wait for that. Lastly, consider installing casters so you can roll it around.
They’re certainly not designed with the end user in mind! I’ve had so many comments saying how it’s clearly me who’s the problem and it took them 2 hours from start to finish including adjusting it. I don’t believe them for 1 second. It took me 1 hour to get all packaging off! It’s been absolutely solid since but my god it takes a lot of patience to build it.
I think i was one of the customers who make them change the manual a couple of times, because a lot of the instructions make no sense at all in fact they need to send me extra parts, I have better luck with the Alpine TRX but even that they have some errors too in the manual.
I hope you get the extra parts you need! These companies seem to want to make it as easy and cheap as possible to manufacture and let the customer struggle at the end.
Your video came as recommended for me.. probably due to me doing a TR80 review MK1 roughly 4 years ago when they first came out.. 6 hours for you seems like a quick job compared to me! Took me well over a day of work because back then there were no instructions whatsoever and I had to rely on pictures I got sent by their tech support team.. If you have a chance you can check out the 3 part review I did, also talking about their customer service.. Thanks for sharing your experience!
No instructions?!?! You must have the patience of a saint lol. I definitely will check your videos out. Curious to know what their customer service is like!
Lol this is a 40 min job lol
Took longer to get the packaging off mate.
@@TheBadRacer very true
Best aturdy cockpit for the money. I went with tr8 pro cause didnt wanna assemle it. Next time invite your handy friend to help thats always my plan lol. It also says recommended 2 people for assembly
You were wise not wanting to assemble it! 😂
i will pay extra if someone can build for me lol
Best money you’ll ever spend 😂
Trak Racer is trash. They just pay a lot for SEO so they're always the top result when searching for sim rigs.
Their website is a lot better than there end user product 😂
If it's a 4k monitor why do you play it on 1440? Can it not go to 4k?
It was that long ago when I do it all now I’ll have to double check for you but I’m sure it plays in 3840x2160.
thank you@@TheBadRacer
Did you have a handbrake for your G29 set up?
I didn’t. Will it work on the Logitech Pro?
You have Not a Code for 5% discount?
Finally I found a review about this particular model and size, most of the reviews out there are for the G70A model. I have not experienced issues with the HDMI ports not automatically changing when a device is on, it seamlessly changes between my work laptop and my PS5. I got this monitor a couple days ago and I can play videogames at 120hz, I have VRR on and HDR on, I will have to try turn off HDR to see if it makes the games look better. Thanks for the review, maybe you can make a short one about calibrating/changing the color settings to get the best out of the PS5.
Hi, i am thinking to replaced my LG 4K UHD HDR10 who's got now a little but little scracht on the screen.. do you recommend me this monitor? I am looking for a 4K 144Hz, HDR10...
Thumbnail was a bit excessive, but as an owner of the TR80, your Pro and Cons were spot on.🤔
Click bait 😂
Let ss go
the rig is anodized meaning it is dyed so no paint anodized finishes scratch really badly and all aluminum rigs take about 3 and a half hours to build at minimum when i built my Sim-lab gt-1 evo it took me 4 hours without a manual this is known it is stated by every good reviewer states this its not meant to be easy its meant to be ridged and sturdy and give you the ability to set it up in your driving position. clearly you didn't do that much research
it is solid no complaints about the rigidity.. I'm not sure what fittings are provided with the sim-lab rig but the track racer spring t-nuts were an absolute nightmare. That's what made the build slow. m6 T-bolts and nuts and you can reduce the build time by probably 2 hours. also time being wasted because the of the threads in the t-nuts were not machined correctly. probably why you have 50 spare left over at the end.
@@TheBadRacer mate regardless of the aluminum profile rig it takes hours had you paid more attention to details, and did more research you would have saved yourself 2 hours. very obvious you did not watch any of barry roland's aluminum profile rig builds because had you you would have see a better way to build the bottom box you clearly need to do more research when buying things but hey you do you bought from a notorious cheaper built aluminum profile rig with very little care for CS
Sorry my review has made you so upset.
I’m excited to get my rig honestly, building it is gonna be as great and mounting a 2k monitor to it and hoping it holds is gonna be better (sarcasm)
Very nice! Haha well nothing on mine has rattled itself loose yet…
After switching from g29 to this new wheel it’s a huge different so smooth while driving no clicking noise the pedals are amazing have more control of acceleration and breaking am sure they are other brand with even better feel pedals but am happy with this system i got I had my doubts of which system I should go for but Logitech was the least system with negative issues moza have a few issues fanatec have some issues thrustmaster as well from what I watched other people complaining and making videos about these issues this might be a lil expensive but I wouldn’t be disappointed
I agree, it’s a brilliant wheel and pedal set. The only thing I complain about is there doesn’t seem to be any future products lined up. I’d love a decent handbrake and shifter. You can use the old Logitech shifter but you need to buy an adaptor for it to work in the pro wheel
Oh wow! You really should check out dirt rally. Dirt rally 2.0 Wrc 10, and generations. They are all absolutely incredible and 60fps on ps5. Do NOT buy wrc6,7,8 on ps5 unless you are happy with sub 30fps. I tried these games as they was cheap and couldn’t even finish a race. Framerate was out of this world messed up and I said fuck Wrc period. Then I see Wrc 9,10, generations all on sale and all butter smooth 60fps . I played 100’s of hours of dirt rally and I’m currently hooked to Wrc 10. In my opinion, I feel Wrc is better then dirt. I mean they extremely similar and it’s hard to tell them apart but there’s 1 thing that Wrc blows dirt out of the water and that’s the track design. It’s absolutely bonkers. I’m a bit annoyed that I’m loving Wrc 10 so much because I want to play generations and the new ea Wrc. How is framerate and stutter on EA Wrc? Is it still horrible mess?
I’d love to try them all but I rarely get on that much as it is 😂 Unfortunately it’s still has that awful stutter even with the latest patches. It defiantly runs better now after the updates but it does still happen occasionally
@@TheBadRacer oh that’s crap. I guess I’ll leave it for now. Thanks for reply. Ps, loved watching you fuck up in this video. Have you improved much, since? I remember when I first played dirt rally with controller, I almost gave up but after I managed to finish a race without crashing every turn, felt great and I never looked back.
lol I fuck up everytime I play it 😂 I have some good times when I just focus on staying on the track and not going as fast as I possible can! Hopefully going to do a live stream on it in the next few days so will be worth you having a watch and seeing how bad I really am 😂
@@TheBadRacer lol I will deff check out the live. I do like a good laugh. No offence 😁
@grahamkelly8662 it’s character building 🤣
Good racing last night. Snake.
Thanks mate. Hopefully see you on some more lobbies. As long as you’re not winning too much 😂
32:46 my "favorite" part...
Yeah, that’s infuriating!
Even though i grabbed a ASR6 from advanced sim racing, I think your vid will help me on assembly day once it arrives.
Hopefully you do better than me! I haven’t seen that particular rig but hopefully they designed it with the assembler in mind. Let me know how you get on, will be interesting to compare. All the comments from people telling me they built it in 2 hrs is complete bullsh*t. Takes over an hour to get it all unboxed/unpackaged and laid out
@@TheBadRacer I am a mechanic with 22 years experience and I still told my buddy / colleague to book a day for me to help. got tripple screens going up, and the simagic Alpha U is no lightweight. So 2 guys would be best. thanks for the heads up again. and great video.
ALL of the so called "problems" would have been solved by a minimum amount of prep. The instructions clearly say how long a M6 bolt you need for pedals and wheel. You rig is wayyyy too light duty for those pedals as well. The clamp and/or the two mounting bolts are more than enough to hold the wheel firmly. Sorry but user error regarding the "problems".
I knew the rig wasn’t quite up to the task. I’d wasn’t good enough for the Logitech g920 with a 3nm torque never mind the Logitech pro with 11nm… since updated the rig if you want to check that video out
Weight seems completely irrelevant if you mount it properly. That setup seems very light duty to me for a DD wheel and LC brakes.
It certainly was, i didn’t quite realise at the time how much force the DD wheels produce. I’ve since upgraded the rig. No more movement now!
Thank you so much for your review, very well put together, you point out serveral aspects of the monitor other reviewers failed to mention. I believe it's an excellent display. I got one a few days ago and I can tell you %80 of the issues mentioned by people on their reviews are because of poor cables. This monitor uses Displayport 1. 4 and HDMI 2.1. if you use old or new (but not compliant) cables, you WILL experience issues such as flickering and black screens with it. Keep up the good work. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you! I’m still trying to get the hang of the reviews/editing but If my video helps one person make a better decision that’s all that matters to me. Thanks for the support!
Got the Logitech pro myself and used the lower right paddle as the h/b. Takes a bit to get used to it.
Does it let you?! I use that as my handbrake too but it won’t let me ‘bind’ it on WRC
@@TheBadRacer hi, 100% sure it can be assigned. Working abroad but heading home tomorrow so I’ll check exactly what I did to set it up and let you know.
@@user-xi6hb3mz5ithank you mate. I know the latest update they done on the patch notes it said about binding issues but I haven’t been on since to check if they sorted it. Sounds like a set up issue If you’ve got yours working though
I have the tr120 with quad screen, took me 6hrs from start to driving, its just common sense to build these
How are you getting on with the quad screens.. what size did you go for?
Does this have bluetooth?
hi, yes it has bluetooth
@@TheBadRacer thank you
£1000 wheel, and a tin foil rig…… my advise to you would be create a rig from alu profile. Design it yourself. Don’t copy other rig designs, they are absolute shite. If you are going to spend money on this. Spend it in the right way.
I have recently purchased a new rig.. didn’t design it myself and it was an absolute nightmare to build but it’s solid and no issues as yet
Quit crying. I’m a disabled vet and have the same rig. Took me two weeks. Could only work an hour at a time.
14 days x 1 hour?
Does anybody know if the Logitech G pro is compatible with the TR one wheel deck?
looks like the same mounting plate as the one the supplied with the MK5. if that is the case you'll find the rear two bolts line up but the front bolt is slightly out. I've used the clamp supplied by logitech to secure the front of the wheel base until I get around to re drilling the hole
@@TheBadRacer thank you very much.
I got a simlab. Took me about 2-3 hours to assemble for the cockpit and another 1-2 hour for the standalone triple monitor mount.
'After a few months and much research'? If you'd researched that build you should have known the build time. I have the TR120 with seperate x3 monitor stand and it took me a lot longer than that. Is what it is. Outside of the scratches whenever you need to make adjustments the product is bloody great!
That’s what I had to tell the wife to make it sound like a sensible buy! 😂 I don’t ever want to undo another bolt on it again lol
You can use either of the lower paddles as a handbrake. Gradual, so you can activate proportionally to your need.
When I try to ‘bind’ my lower right paddle nothing happens.. lets me do the left paddle not the right. Would this be because I set it like that when I plugged it into the computer and the game just won’t recognise it maybe? Appreciate the help
The lower paddles cannot be mapped within game. They have to be done through the wheel. I think the default is clutch, but if you go to the wheel settings you can change them to handbrake.
That’s right, then you have to map the clutch on the pedal sett to handbrake.
