Good story and great testament to golf. I gave it up for 10 years because I started taking it too seriously and it was driving me crazy. When I came back to it, I started playing it for the love and not for the score. The happiest days of my life are when I am just walking 9 holes and not worrying about the score. Just watched your video of Statesville CC. Its really a great course. Check out River Oaks up that way as its also a hidden gem.

You should be very proud in what you are trying to achieve here. You are so far ahead voicing this, you may not realise it. Golf is close to the best social game. Keep moving forward. Great project.

What’s the tip

Great choices. When I lived near Charlotte from 1999 to 2016 I always wanted to play those courses in your top 5 but never was able to. I did get to play Larkhaven like 4 times before they closed it up. I always enjoyed playing over there. While living in Lincolnton I played Glen Oaks in Maiden which I think was one of best public tracks in that area.

Is this at bryan park?

DF3 is more stable, especially for the shorter putts. OZ.1 insert is clickier and hotter, but once u get use to DF3 it is very consistent. It is the better LAB hence more popular. MEZZ Max Is also a bit more stable than OZ.1 but cannot pick up balls, lol. The worst in my opinion is Link.1 to blade like, defeats the purpose of stability and ppl that claim is more precise is a myth

Start by keeping your head still, and then work on a killer short game

From this angle, it looks like you don’t have a lot of distance with your hands away from your body at the top. Loosing some quality leverage. Right elbow it’s bent to an acute angle it needs to be slightly obtuse. Low take away following the toe line, push hands away from body. Need to see grip + front view.
