I love this swing line dance. The Jitterbug Stroll. The start of the dance, the "The Hodie-Yodie", which starts off the stroll, makes me want to do this variation of the hop-shuffle, where you actually hop on both feet, and not shuffle.... Most line dancers will do this...... Count: 8 1 1st two-footed jump, 2nd two-footed jump. (Both two-footed jumps go forward.) But sometimes, you can be creative, like this---focus on the "syncopations" before counts 8 and 1, like this..... Count: and 8 and 1 1st two-footed jump (hold) 2nd two-footed jump (hold) (Also, these jumps go forward). Part of swing dancing musicality focuses on reacting to the syncopations to the swing music, not just the basic rhythm of it, and this even happens in the J-Stroll. My two bits.
