Bad take. They need to do the opposite and make MORE support specs. Make BM hunter a support class. Making Aug more like a normal dps is a fail.

The opposite of what they should have done. Shake up the boring trinity, add more support specs, give support its own queue slot. Bummed about dead aug, but Devastation is fun.

Tbh I don’t have the exact numbers for that right now, maybe after a bit more testing with more accurate numbers I can add that into a future video. Good idea

Yes! More support specs! Not because they're fun and change up the pace of a dungeon/raid, but because it makes the manchildren on the game cry and throw tantrums. 😍

I hope they go bold and make support an actual role in a party, at least for pushing. It's been 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 dps since the start of WoW. Until Aug came and shook the tree at least. Lean in and give people options. The idea that having an Aug should be tuned to be the same as having a random other dps is not as interesting to me as the idea that having one of a choice of support classes (all tuned to each other) should be better than 3 dps.

@@Antikas1989 I agree so much. Telling that @ us forums since Aug came out. But most people are afraid vs new changes sadly! A support role and 6men m+ /delves groups would be so much better. More tactic...and make the support specs just nice to play. Not stressfull! Just enjoyable :) So 1tank, 1 healer, 1 support and 3 dps. And hopefully they will bring the Bard <3

There is one called "targeted by damage spells (English Client)" that works. I think it just plays a sound when you are targeted and a cast is inc tho

The prot paladin places Blessing of Sacrifice (with the talent that removes diseases). If he does it before the ability lands, then it negates the damage completely.

Don't trust the wclogs lists. Aug is still strong in raid, but the spec is considerably harder to pilot than in m+, needing multiple UI elements and some planning to pick your correct buff targets at the right time. The playerbase for the spec just has no idea on how it works and it completely dilutes the damage charts. You can see for yourself that more often than not just doing slightly above a tank nets you a purple parse as Augmentation in raid. For context, the rank 1 Aug for Ovi'nax played a cheese build and did almost 3m dps on that fight, meanwhile, someone like me who's just painfully average did 2.2m dps and still managed to get a 95 parse out of a 700k dps gap. Right now, most of the theorycrafters say there are maybe 3-4 good raid augs in the entire game, and they consistently reach for the top of the damage charts in their teams and come up with strats outside of the box for certain bosses, like using Time Skip on Ovi'nax or Silken Court. I don't recall Aug in raids being as balanced as it has ever been now, but the difficulty in extracting value from it compared to Devastation is on a whole other level, or any other spec for that matter. It definitely shouldn't be buffed, but rather simplified or made more direct to those playing it, specially since buffing it would only mean the top augs would still shoot for the skies but the bad augs will still be a detriment to most raid teams, and yet be forced into playing it because "log hooks" or something.

@@najimu- Two things: 1. Why shouldn't I trust warcraft logs? I've been tracking Warcraftlog statistics, and, even among 99th percentile parses, Aug is bottom-tier dps. This is a fact. It has been bottom tier dps in raid, even among top 1% parses, since the beginning of the expansion. That is not up for debate. I'm not sure why I wouldn't trust Aug logs and the statistics on warcraft logs. I'm filtering out the shitters who dont know how to play by only looking at 99th percentile data. 2. You are fixated on the best handful of players in the world. Ask yourself: is that really what we should be worried about? We can't buff the spec because the top 3-4 players in the world will abuse it? That does not seem like good game design. Developers should not put much attention into worrying about that small of a playerbase. I hope we both agree that the bottom 99% need a damage buff on Augmentation. If that is achieved by making Aug easier to play, fine by me. I still think the easier way is to buff aug damage and nerf its niche utility. But that's my opinion

@@matthewjamesmjw4172 My bad, that was poorly worded. WCLogs stats are definitely real, what i meant by "not trusting wclogs" is that aug being low on average does not necessarily mean it's weak. But yes, atleast we can both agree that it needs to be changed so it's not overwhelmingly powerful to only a handful of people able to pilot it.

@@najimu- I think you misperceive how severe the problem is. You still seem to think that Aug is not weak. I will grant that Aug has utility that is better than the average dps, and therefore, Aug "should" be in the bottom-half of dps, to compensate for its above-average utility in raid. Even so, it should not be at the literal bottom for the entire expansion. You seem to think that Aug is "not weak" because a very small minority of players are able to squeeze enough damage out of the spec for Aug to appear "strong", relative to other dps. However, if only a handful of players have been able to achieve those results (and I believe it is due to misusing bugs or extreme parse-hunting - but I digress), then clearly Aug is still weak for the 99.99% of players who CANNOT achieve those results. You'd need a highly coordinated group + intimate insider knowledge of how specs interact + excellent play to produce those results. Just because a small minority can produce those results, does not mean Aug is "strong" in raid. Please stop saying that and spreading around that misinformation.
