newest Minecraft versions have changed how redstone works. Does this still work for 1.21.4?

ok so like... what if i wanted to use two blocks for my door? would i just add two sets of triple piston extenders on the side and two sets of singles on the back of each block? i have a really neat idea for a build with a jeb door but i want to make the door out of blocks and its gotta be at least 3x2. the jeb door has an opening sequence that kinda looks like a real door, so i think it would add a nice touch. Ill probably try to mess around with it, but im really not all that smart, so redstone really hurts my little brain.

I didn't think it would work but I thought I would try it there's no power to any of the bottom ones so none of the bottom Pistons will activate

It works for me but it opens and closes way to fast like when i go on the preassure plate it opens but closes in a millisecond

I found out that if the pressure plate is on something like copper grates it won’t activate the redstone, so if anyone is having trouble on Java or Bedrock (like me), try using non-sea through blocks

how to make it 1x2x2? I want to put anotrher 1x2 piston door right beside it to make it longer? I can't do it from the other side cause I'm not actually using this as a "door" and I need the whole circuit from one side
