its tough to find land like that in FL these days. Congrats. Looks like you have a lot of work ahead but looks like a good piece of property. Predation tags can be had through FWC if you choose. Holler if you need a hand with anything. Im a handy type of guy, grew up on a ranch, built schools most of my life, as well as being a photographer.
Great video great land. Wish ya journey the best. This makes me more excited to buy land for my family and I.
Awesome looking property
Great video

90 days this romance blows up...lolololol
Crocodiles are very dangerous. It is better to have a radar to monitor them and if possible make a sign to know there are crocodiles. It is even better if there are no crocodiles near the house. Greetings from Borneo Indonesian. people.

Get some goats to clean it up around there
You asked for advice. I have 132 acres in TN and started building our farm last year. Follow Joel Salatin and his farm PolyFace. He has online homesteading videos and he does weekend retreats for homesteaders to come learn on his farm. Good luck on your journey, more folks need to do this!
If you build structures I would suggest lifting the foundation because there is a lot of wet land, if you get animals you gotta watch out for the gators because they travel for food
How many trees do you have? I am guessing you are in Floridia. Probably there isn't a lot of need for firewood. But if you have trees to harvest maybe you could make lumber out of them.
Could you send me some of the usnea hanging from the trees? Also known as "old mans beard". I'm learning how to use herbs as medicine to get off the meds I take. The mystery animal looked like a Bobcat. No tail. Good luck with your adventures!
If you're thinking about animals; Chickens bring every predator. Looking for an easy meal. And they keep coming back.
Wait, that huge lake is entirely on you guy's property?
Where in Florida is this abandoned ranch located? Please, navigate from the map, thank you!
Gators Roaming on the property… Nope…
Can't wait to see where this goes an the great content that is to come.
Yur bst friend on a big piece of property is going to be a tractor with a bucket. When buying a tractor buy a size or two larger than you think you need to get a 4wd tractor
You have to get the gators out if your going have animals, dogs kids.. they will say all your money. When it get cold they will come closer to you house for warmer to make beds
Cookie jar keep them They are ver hard to find. Build a shelf hutch with glass door for them.. something you can pass down..
Your doing all fruit tress grapes dwarf fruit tree. Use land for food put bee hives our by fruits tress and research flowers bees love and get great honey. You can buy flirt tree that are older and give off fruit . Alway can in jar and freezer.. go solar panels . Build a root cellar food good all winter long , build green house have vegetables all year long. Never buy fruits and vegetables at store again, chickens you can get a freeze dyer extra eggs power them eggs all year long , sell them jar them.. you have nice land to made a homestead go Pinterest homestead idea… build a freezer garage and addd shelf for canning jar build your own grocery store like size of a garage
You can call wild life game and they will come remove the gators
Hallo thanks for sharing this seems the be a nice place Florida? but for cows and horses? with alligators and snakes i don't know doesn't seem ideal for me, But i live in the Netherlands and luckily we don't have that problem !! Have a nice time and stay safe , also for the animals ✌🧡
Bobcat?
Alligator ranch??? Just do yoga with your best assets!!! Yall aint got the time to work daylight to dark??? TLC an freshn it up lol Plant rice an hire sum Mexicans 👍🏻 Yeah make it purdy for filming work out sessions/photo shoots🍑👀👍🏻😍🥰🤩
Your land is so beautiful. Congratulations. 🎉
Diamond backs and gopher turtles share the same hole and actually coexist together
With that much land and scenery I would make it a wedding venue and retreat center. I would put cabin throughout the area out of site of each other for privacy. Their is so much that could be done there it blows my mind.
Be careful around those alligators!
Great video, looking forward to see you make your dream come true, I to dream of having my own ranch like that and about the same size, good luck guys and I will be watching every video you make from now on!
Awesome property that every true Floridian would be envious of! Renovate the old block buildings since the slabs and walls are still in great shape, but if they were built prior to the 1960s then plan to use them only for equipment/durable goods storage. Concrete slab on grade foundations built before the 1950/60s don't have vapor barriers, so those buildings will always have a higher than average humidity from moisture coming up through the ground/slab that could cause mold (especially with that high water table). Gators are abundant in Florida, so there's no use in having big bull gators around that would pose a danger to a curious toddler (or father), especially if they're that comfortable with being that close to the shoreline where you think a food source once was... Gopher tortoises like iceberg lettuce, rattlesnakes like gopher tortoise burrows. Don't plant an orange grove (or rely on it being successful if you do), there's no grove in the state that doesn't have greening or canker - but do plant a few grove stock valencia trees outside your house to have fresh squeezed OJ every Christmas morning. Sub out all the large tasks, DIY the smaller ones you'd get joy from. You've got a huge, awesome project on your hands! Respect the local Floridians and listen to their suggestions, those who've lived here long enough would provide priceless knowledge with each conversation. You own a piece of Old Florida now, you'd be wise to keep it that way.
The cattle bones all-in-one spot! Is cows and bulls or whatever that died on the ranch. And they are put in an out of the way spot! Then it's food for the birds, and other animals that find it! I have never owned a ranch, but have worked on one! And that's what they did! This was in the 70s and early 80s!
It's a cow. Pull out that old furniture and post on the marketplace people will buy it to redo and make good money on it. But don't just trash it because that could be money toward something the ranch might need.
Will be a beautiful place, live the dream. Good luck from north Florida
Tip getting heavy equipment dozer/ excavator
Looking forward to watching your journey! Are you going to relocate the gator? Will the gator attack horses or cattle if they go to the ponds?
Good luck with your ranch! You to look a little to good to be a couple digging in the dirt on a farm!😜 I will follow your good days, and your bad ones, from my ranch in Sweden! 😉❤🇸🇪
The photo made it look to be too big for a bobcat but its either that or a florida panther.
Do y’all come from a farming/ranching background? If not, boy, you’re in for a big surprise. I really hope yall have experience with horses before you buy a bunch of them. I’d recommend starting out with two. I vote for y’all to fix that old house up and live in it. 😂 that would make some good YT. This shit is gonna be great.
Look into quail habitat for the pines. It is thinned nicely already, you could do some controlled burns and there are conservation programs in place already that can help with taxes and rejuvenating a dwindling population.
After a few burns, stuff like golden rod and broom sedge grass will come in nice. Offering great natural habitat for native species, and some of the best honey around... Definitely recommend bees!
skinny cow 🙂
Its a COW
WTH… withholding judgement.
Welcome new homesteaders, I always enjoy watching newbies to the land. Looks like a beautiful piece of land you have there. Good Luck, for you know I'll be watching. Thanks for sharing
