It appears that DLSS has a more "active" shimmering in some reflective surfaces (easiest to see is on asphalt), compared to FSR or XeSS or native. Quality mode is experiencing the least, while going "down" in mods it increases. Tested is in Performance mode.

Even though the complexity of the scene is minimal, increasing the draw distance for assets that aren't in the players view angle, decreases the performance quite bad.

Failure in positioning the back up thruster on the 350r directly under the wing section; back up right thruster for the 300i doesn't fire visually; turbo/extra power function gives extra power to the main thruster visually instead of the maneuvering ones.

    Honestly, playing cyberpunk in lower resolution with the path tracing turned up is the way to go imo. itd be nice to play at like 4k 144 with rtx on but we aint getting that kinda power for another 10 years

    This is my first time watching watch dogs. And at first glance I'd say they basically remade gta5 just with a different storyline. Also thx for the not blaring dubstep

    I think the title should be, Occlusion culling not at work :P And yeah.. This sucks... They also need an equivalent of occlusion culling for AI... Right now it appears to calculates every movement of AI that are on the other side of the map when there's no need for it... Extremely wasteful and annoying...

      You need to calculate that AI, because stuff does happen when you're not looking at it. How complex those calculation should/must/are, I have no idea. An improvement however, it's a must.

      ***allaboard*** Yes, but it doesn't need to calculate every millimeter of movement or something like that. At least for singleplayer all it has to do is update their movement every few meters when they're far away. I'm not sure what the details are but it appears as though it calculates all the hitboxes and all the other physics and algorithms for far-away units when there's really no need for most of it. Thus the overall poor performance on the more open-world campaign maps with lots of AI around (like the Survive campaign) as opposed to the linear missions (the prologue missions e.g.). Essentially AI algorithms when they're not in vicinity need to be simplified greatly. And of course occlusion culling needs to be properly implemented as the video shows above.

    My problem is that I can only see within 1400 meters, no mater how I high I put my view distances after 1400m I just see a magical fog, and since I LOVE flying the greyhawk and assist me squad with it it can be quite annoying sometimes becausee if I get too close I might not have enough time to lock and fire my missile because I am diving down onto the vehicle with 400-500 kmph so yeah, how do I get rid of that magical fog? or just make it show on like 2000 meters?

      You need to increase view and objected draw distance (it's in meters, up to 12000m), plus object quality - or something like that, I don't remember the correct names. You can put view distance to around 3,5-4km and object view distance to around 2-2,5 km, with high object details. Of course, you'll need a quite high clocked, modern CPU (preferable an Intel as it has more horsepower/megahertz compered to AMD) and depending on that and the performance you're getting, you can increase or decrease the object draw distance - take note that object quality it's also part of how far some objects are rendered.

      2500k@4.5GHz. 8GB RAM, 7950@1135/1600MHz. FPS @5040x1050, the standard resolution for 3x1050p is about 30fps or lower. It's not smooth enough to do any actual efficient dog fighting at the moment. 3840x800 on the other hand, which is the next step down, it's just fine at above 40fpsor so. Settings I think, are either medium or low. CPU can't handle the video card if I drop the resolution to a level where the video card can/should push above 60fps as I see the GPU usage dropping. Some more optimizations are needed...or a better six/next gen octa core CPU. The line is somewhere at the middle of the right screen and it's something specific to this game. I suppose it will be fixed in the future. Only recently they've added in menu 5040x1050 option, before it was for 3x1080p if I remember correctly. I record with MSI Afterburner and takes quite a bit of a hit in performance 'cause it's doing all on the CPU . Size is aprox. 25,82s/GB in Star Citizen, but in ArmA 3 it takes about 15s/GB and stutters. Can't tell you about Shadow Play if it handles this type of resolutions. GVR (AMD equivalent), doesn't do it as well, but it can record @1080 while maintaining the aspect ratio, however the imagine as you can imagine, is quite a bit pixelated. Overall, space I would say it's the least of your concerns, but rather a capture card, hardware or software capable of such high resolutions. ie. 1080p is about 2,07MPx, while 3x1050p is 5,29MPx.

    How did you have 60 fps in air wiith 12 km distanse setting? I have 28-30 fps by i7 4770k 4.5 ghz overlock

      Lower object distance and quality. With full 12km for object distance and ultra quality, I don't think there is system capable of that @60fps, especially on Altis, the big map. This is Strats. Performance difference between them is huge. Without DX12/Mantle and 64bit .exe for the game, I don't see how we'll be able to run this game at max settings. Also keep in mind that was Alpha, not the finished game runs better.

    I assume the 12000 is meters right? is that the maximum the Cryengine can handle? I say this because I am researching the view distance limits of the Cryengine 3. a new game is being created that is super ambitious called Star Citizen. it is using Cryengine 3. the biggest technological hurdle they are trying to overcome is trans-atmospheric flight and planet size rendering (like Outerra). the next funding goal is to R&D procedural generation to try and tackle this problem. everyone is saying that only the Unity engine can render at these distances and the Cryengine never will be able to. can I get your opinion on this?

      I don't know about Cry Engine, but yes, at the moment 12 kilometers is the view distance in ArmA 3. However, ArmA needs very detailed grounds while Star Citizen does not. It will be up to them to figure all out, since there isn't one engine that can all they want to do.

    The grass is still render primarily around the player, only bushes, trees or rocks are render further away. However, due to the location of the game, it's not that annoying and as far as I can remember, it doesn't magically spawns as you zoom in or out, as it did in ArmA 2. Overall it's a pretty big step forward, performance and graphics wise.

    The performance hit with MSI Afterburner under the settings the recording was made, is not that bad. I can't give you any real numbers, but keep in mind that performance may vary depending on drivers, different versions of the game (after all it's still in alpha state), servers in MP and so on. I do believe that the final product will be great and for me it's well worth the money. For you i really can't tell. If this kind of game is on your liking than yes, but it's no BF or CoD.

    It should. My card was at 1170/1600MHz, speeds at which is ~ as fast as a 7970GHz Ed./GTX680. Keep in mind that I play at only 1680x1050. They've tested a lot of GPUs and CPUs in ArmA 3 on gamegpu.ru
