Is this wheel any good or woild it be better to spend a little extra and buy the Logitech G29?

Great review. I just picked up a nearly brand new G27 last week that had hardly been used, still in the box (this is mid 2024). I'll explain why I chose the G27 over all the others in hopes it may help others decide. I have been using a Logitech Force Feedback GT for a while and quite like it. Works really well for games Automobilista 2 in Windoze 10. But I really wanted a H shifter and one can't be added to that wheel. So the other G series seemed like my best option. - I passed on a dirt cheap used G25 for two reasons: it only has two programmable buttons on the wheel and it lacks the RPM lights. For modern games 2 buttons just isn't enough and as someone that never plays with automatic transmission, having an RPM indicator lights is crucial. - I didn't want to spend extra money on a G29 because it is virtually identical to the GT I have now, with tons of buttons on the wheel that are a nightmare to access or remember their placement - these buttons including the + and -, rotating dial, etc are virtually identical. I don't like these buttons. When you're racing you don't have time to look at the wheel to figure out where the buttons are and some aren't even buttons but instead parts of a D pad, etc. Didn't think it was worth it, despite the (slightly) better technology in the wheel and stiffer brake pedal. So I went with the G27, picked it up for a mere Can$130. Again, this is virtually brand new. The H shifter feels like it was never used. I like how it has so many buttons, so you can add things like engine start, headlights, wipers, etc to the buttons in the gear shifter. This frees up the 6 buttons in the wheel for more race-ready buttons, like looking back, boost, etc. I'm still to install and try it as I need to slightly modify my rig to fit the wider pedals. But so far I'm really happy with this purchase. Your review here kinda helps me realize that going with the older, cheaper G27 to have been the right decision.

Nice just pulled my old Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel out the storage shed it's been sitting in a plastic bin in the heat for maybe close to 10 years lol, I hope it still works. Hoping I can run some Forza and American Truck Simulator on it!

its a good wheel for the price. buy the mount for 10 dollars if you want to get it stable

The way you should hold it in place is by wiping the surface with a lightly wet cloth and rub the things under the dock with water then put the and firmly press them on the surface its guaranteed to stay put in place

Hello i have a very similar wheel ( spring , no ffb) , i want to upgrade to a g923 because my wheel isnt compatible with ps5 or any pc games after 2012 (idk why) (i know its considered budget but in my country it is very expensive) i wanted to ask do you think its worth it? Also is it noisy ?

prob the worst wheel any money can buy- it doesnt have ffb, only has 90° of rotation AND pedals that can be used with one toe just get a cheap dd wheel or a t300

It's per game with the tmx I use one every day with a set of tlcm pedals and it rocks...but I'm not a fan of dirt in general I'm a WRC guy 🤘🤓🤘 Nerdcore Hardcore

Hey! Good video. I just noticed something when you are playing CTR. You accelerate with the left pedal but actually I think you can assign the B button to the right pedal and the Y button to the left pedal using the button "assign". Actually you can assign any button to the pedals, to the central M button and even to the gear flaps L and R. That way you can customize the wheel for any game. I have the smaller version of this steering wheel but it should work the same way. I hope this is useful for everybody.

I bought this yesteday. Amd dor some reason i cannot get mine to connect to my switch. Its a physical plug in, youd think it would be plug and play. But mine isnt workiny that way.

I bought a fake 2.4Ghz wireless adapter and controller however, the adapter only works with that specific controller any ideas on how to get it to read the racing wheel?
