Great movie review without spoilers. well done. This movie was lingering in my que of "movies that look interesting," until a friend suggested & confirmed it was worthy of front of the line. *I enjoyed it immensely. I love to see movies like this which have the amount of thought provoking content and awesome acting WITHOUT a big budget. The simple yet totally effective scenes w character makeup really may have been the most expensive part! And yet the movie didn't need all that.... *SO well done allowing the viewer to speculate on what's really happening. I really like that this aspect sort of brings us into the madness with Sean in that way..... very cool. *I DID think there was some great comedic LOL parts like: the banter betwixt Sean & his buddy, the insight into their relationship and home life environment before the isolation, the friendly ball busting, AND OF COURSE the VHS tape (haha). The scene when Sean cuts loose (maybe from reality) in the kitchen acting all goofy and carefree delirious with himself. I agree with your , careful not to spoil, speculations on the movie's intentional various interpretations of what''"s happening.... BUT I CAME HERE LOOKING FOR maybe something I missed or so to confirm one of these interpretation possibilities - and So the MADNESS continues still! haha thats funny i realize this right now. got me again ! hahahaha. going mad still trying to figure it out....... well done directing then obviously. * Interesting thing...(SPOILER!!!) , while discussing with my buddy who recommended - He freaked out when he heard my idea of what took place at the end at the lake. He said he hadn't considered what my perspective idea of what it was . My interpretation of the end scene was that the submerging & lengthy delayed re-emerging from the lake was NOT Sean's victory over the demon, but rather the Demon's victory in taking over Sean's body & life . I thought that the ending showed or symbolized how Sean THOUGHT he victoriously vanquished the demon from taking him over, when re-emerging, BUT ACTUALLY he LOST the battle and crossed over into the demon's place. Finding himself in a terrifying dark mirror world, - where he quickly finds out and realizes that he didn't win in casting out the demon, but rather that he had lost (and possibly died) in the process. SO NOW THEN w the madness, - did he cross over into the demon's dark mirror world... - OR as my Buddy thought - a demon(s) had come through into his reality now. SO WHAT IS IT? who crossed over into whos Realm, or is it just Symbolic metaphor somehow? Eshhh. Madness I tell you LOL! ???? ANYWAY, what do you think ???? *THANKS for video & considerations - AceFuhr1*

No because honestly, the state of DC films is wild to me. There was time when you asked someone who their fav superhero was and they would say something either like Superman or batman..but now a days ppl say Spiderman or Thor, or Ironman. How DC allowed Disney/Marvel to gain that much influence is beyond me. But eh what can ya do 😭.
