Congratulations! This was awesome to see and had a riveting ending. Stage 4 went well enough even with the lives lost. Your execution is solid and the fumbles looked like they were mostly simple things that normally wouldn’t clip you. That kind of stuff is easy to clean up and I can see you handing the regular difficulty well enough, despite how challenging it may feel compared to novice mode. That said, it’ll be great to hear what you zero in on next. Great stuff!

What I just don’t get is, why my damage is still bad, like everything is 90 and max leveled and still I can’t get through floor 12.

I think the hardest part for me is team building. Theres so many characters and enemies that are better suited for each situation. I end up spending resources on nearly everyone just to make teams. It kinda feels like I need 7 dps for each element, then someone to swirl, another for sheids, healing, sub dps if main dies. Any advice?

i learnt that abyss was really boring given that it was very hard because lack of units, today i am a spiralholic😂

Best tip have alot of 5 star charracters and dont listen to folks saying 4 stars are good, (they mostly are a waste of investment, theres a 5 star that does everything better so just wait and save)

I just came to proudly announce that Ive just achieved 36 stars for the first time! I had to try 12-1 and 12-2 again to get the extra star but I can finally say I did it!!

I will try abyss floor 12 when I’m AR 60 and nothing else to do. For now I’m just going to sit at Floor 11.

what worked for me was getting dendro characters in my team. i normally hate using dendro characters and never gave them a chance until i tried fighting using hyperbloom and hypercarry with nahida. it's so muh better than any other elemental reaction when it comes to advancing in the abyss.

Too bad whaling doesn't help gathering ascension materials and skill up materials. The agonizing farming will forever be there whether you whale or not. Thats the hardest part in the game for me.

You forget talking about saving your energie , if you get 3 stars on floor 12 chamber 1 but not able to get it in chamber 2 you can restart from ch 1and save your burst for chamber 2 etc...

For levels, it doesn't matter as much for atk scalers. It is important for non-vape/melt reaction triggers, as well as hp and def scalers. This is because a sizeable portion of base atk comes from your weapon, but neither def nor hp have this. And so the hp and def scalers benefit more from levels than atk scalers. Also worth noting that no law requires you to pick between 80 and 90. It costs half as much to go from 80 to 85 as it does from 85-90. So hey, maybe go halfway for now, and the rest later. Except for those already mentioned reaction triggerers...90 them. As far needing characters built: this isn't quite true. You need very few damage dealers, provided they are of different elements. This is because you'll rarely find both sides immune to the same element. You do need access to counter element applicators, for things like shield breaking, but this is pretty much dependent on the character's kit, so talents, levels, and such, don't matter nearly as much, though cons can (Kuki gets a lot of extra electro app from her cons for example). As long as this character can stay alive, and you can still do the required damage with the rest of your team, you'll be fine. So a character like Barbara can give you the hydro you need to kill pyro lectors. Another prime example of this is the Golden Wolflord. A non-leveled Ning with random hp% artifacts still works great for taking down its totems, and GMC isn't bad either (normal attack chain procs a geo hit at the end). That said, it is easier if your team already includes those counter elements. This is why teams that use more elements are generally more useful than one with fewer, like a freeze or the various "mono" teams. A more diverse team is more likely to be able to handle your counter element needs right out of the box. Also, going to re-iterate my reply to your Thunderbird mention on the previous one. While Yoimiya on a banner does mean the bird will show up, you most definitely don't need her to take it down easily. For example, I beat it down with Dehya, Nahida, and two electros. This works, despite those two electros contributing 0 damage and Dehya being Dehya, because tall claymore characters can hit the bird even when it is flying, which means she gets enough hits in while Nahida's E does its thing. And if you can survive standing in its cube or the walls, that gives you a great damage dealing window. So all you need is a healer to keep your tall claymore user alive and you can go to town. Just be aware, Benny = pyro-infused = you get overloaded... so he's probably not the healer you want. So right there, that's another relatively easy way to kill the bird. But one most people don't think of, because most people don't really use their tall claymore characters much. So something to keep in mind: the normal way people think to fight stuff is not the only way, nor necessarily even the best/easiest way. It's just the most common.

For team choosing, one other big tip as to what can work: the Abyss line up is almost always made with the featured banners in mind. This in turn can clue you in as to what to focus on. Is Yoimiya on the banner? One chamber or the other of floor 12 will likely be pyro and/or ST ranged friendly. There's a reason the Thunderbird usually shows up for an Abyss cycle that includes her on the banner. You don't need the featured characters, but it does give a nice hint as to what elements and/or style of play are likely to work. Another key thing when it comes to building teams: you need relatively few high DPS characters, because it is unlikely that they won't work on one side or the other. One side might shut down hydro, but then you just put your hydro DPS on the other side. You do, however, want access to variety of elemental applicators. A team like National is as effective as it is because it uses 3 damage types, meaning that, when something like a shield needs an elemental counter, the team likely has access to it. Same deal with hyperbloom... with electro, dendro, and hydro in the mix, it can tear down most shields types very easily, and that it will almost always work on one side or the other. So, basically, mono-teams are worse investments than more elementally diverse teams, because they are more likely to be countered due to enemy types.

Also a tip that helped is u can focus on clearing the chambers backwards, sometimes id finish f12c3 first with a certain team then the rest other teams, i do it backwards to focus first on saving the bursts for c3 without caring about the time

Well, it is nice when you have characters (and build) to make new teams for every new Abyss. 😅 And here I am who have two so-so working teams with 1 or 2 decently built characters per team. 😅 But at least I can try the Floor 12 and get 1, 2 or 3 stars in it.

Jokes on you, I have only 2 good characters and gotta use them, a day a floor, perfectly balanced as all things should be 😂❤

My advise is to pull for the meta characters. Nahida, zhongli, raiden, yelan, bennett, xiangling, xingqiu, etc. You need those. If you want to play comfortably later on, aiming for the mentioned characters above

Tip: Noelle is good on any floor that has elemental enemies. Stack her with def, atk and er. Get her burst up and maybe a few constellations. The shield and healing is a blessing.
