No one can get Gogean credit. There maybe 1-2 people who will get this credit in Paris. But these tumor series are destroying USA floor scores when they compete at bigger international stage.

also i’m pretty sure this was an upgrade for her, she normally does a GORGEOUS yurchenko full, so i’m sure the 1.5 will probably improve as she competes it more

@@Vivien07she’s actually had the 1.5 forever but she came back from an injury from last year.

Her only deductions are the landing everything is basically perfect, her block, her form in the air. She’s so good

Untrue and unfair. Most US vaults are Y1.5s or DTYs. There's no need or incentive to perform hardwr vaults anymore. Be glad less gymnasts are getting injured bc of poor training practices. The US is still no.1 in the world, why are you so bothered??

It’s probably because maybe some of them are new to elite and they haven’t been training very difficult vaults.

But also fig don't want difficult vaults like how an amanar is .4 higher than a dty.

Has is really? Just because everyone’s not competing amanars doesn’t mean it’s gone downhill. There’s always a select few people that are good on vault. This quad we have several gymnasts capable of a cheng, which is more difficult than an amanar

@@hazelnutspred3348 I understand completely and sorry for any misuse of words but in terms of execution and difficulty I truly do feel like there is a decline today across the globe. Probably because vaults get poor incentives if any at all.

And most of the falls weren't even on particularly challenging elements. I'm used to seeing falls on big release moves, but many of these falls seemed to happen for no apparent reason.

i think the current code of points just doesn’t rlly allow for it in most places unfortunately 💔. that’s one of the things i like about watching college gymnastics!

What artistry do you expect to see on VAULT or UB? Beam and Floor are only TWO of the FOUR apparatuses in a WAG competition you know. Leave up to some of you folks you will have the women dancing and shaking their fannies before and after they vault as well as bars. Steups!

@@Vivien07 The way to do this would be to strategically change the E score deductions. Might not affect Simone, who has such a huge difficulty advantage, but it would impact everyone else.

@@aliciamcdonald7105 One thing could be rewarding a flare-out on vault! Those are so rare these days, used to be much more common. And just generally increasing penalties for messy knees, leg separations, etc.

@@riabright2815 it doesn’t make sense to me to say this, because the way we do circus here in Europe is a thousand time more artistic than « artistic » gymnastics. Well it doesn’t make sense for plenty other reasons but I’m not gonna make a list here. I would just add, the arenas sports are taking place in originate from Greece, where they were named « circus ».

ugh i knowww i was so sad for her especially since she looked so good at winter cup. i’m hoping she’s able to bring the momentum back for championships :)

yeah, biggest competition of the season so far and in the olympic year so i’m sure nerves played a factor. but i agree that there were a ton of uncharacteristic bars mistakes!

There actually were an unusually high amount of falls on uneven bars here more than even beam which is the apparatus that one would expect to have a number of falls. It was so bad that some people have expressed the view that something was actually off with the bars themselves.

Yeah I thought so too. And there were also just a lot of mistakes and saves on bars that weren’t even falls as well.

I agree. After watching this, most falls happened when changing bars. Wonder if they were slippery or off in some way

There were. The Florida coach (Owen Fields) said that he checked the bars and didn't find anything unusual. The bars were Spieth and maybe most gymnasts aren't used to that brand?

@@rebeccasilver2181i do think it had to do with the equipment being Spieth! The Olympics are going to be on GymNova and I think a lot of gyms are primarily training on GymNova to prepare. I thought it was weird that they were using Spieth in the first place!
