I think it's pretty funny that Kevin talked all that talk about going solo and working with other artists, etc. but now he'll continue to tour next year, but probably under his moniker, but yet sing mostly REO songs. With all this creative juice he's feeling and talked about how about writing some new music since the band hasn't release anything since 2007.

The last concert I took my daughter to was REO and Styx. That's the last time I saw them too (I've seen them 5 times). My daughter passed away almost 2 years ago. We had "Time for me to fly" played at her funeral.

Wasn't that their final concert? It's a shame they aren't in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

This song just doesn't sound right in the lowered key. He still has a good voice and at least he's not using pitch-correction/autotune or backing tracks.

Kevin's voice is crap and Dave is starting to hunch over.. might be time to retool the band...
