Riley billiard tables truck made by Corgi
This really charming piece of Billiards ephemera; a miniature Bedford furniture style van made by the toy company Corgi as a limited edition item for the adult collector.
The van is very nice in green with gold lettering on the side and represents the table fitting side of the E J Riley business. It comes with a presentation box and a numbered certificate, these items are deleted stock so if you see one, I suggest that you snap it up.

Hi Dave. I have a burroughs and watts perfectus cue. Is it genuine? I can hardly find any info on it at all! Have you any knowledge regarding these cues? Cheers
Can you find Cues n Views on facebook, private message me there. I have two different Perfectus cues to use as reference and hope to be able to help you there
Here's the link facebook.com/cuesnviews

Powerglide and Ken Williams were a lovely company to deal with. I stocked their cues and still have a Diamond I used after my old cue was stolen years ago, which I used with some success…Returning to the game after 30 years it seems to have lost its magic. Sad to hear about Ken, he was a nice bloke and Rex was always an absolute gentleman.
Nice comment.
Ok now the sound is corrupted. Can't make out a single word. I'm sure this was playing ok a few days ago. Any chance of re posting?
We are working on it.
Pair of beauty's.

Have you ever played with those John Pullman balls? Really enjoy your videos - I'd love you to do more. Would you ever do any showing your snooker merch?
Joe Davis. The greatest of all time.
Wouldn't it be fascinating to see modern professional snooker matches using the orange and purple balls.
Completely agree! Would be cool as a once a season tournament.
Is that Matt Hancock 🤣
I’ve just taken the game up again after a 30 year break! I have a Powerglide cue I bought at the factory where I met Ken Williams…I had a part share in a sports shop back then. Now at the age of 70 I feel the cue is a bit light for me and I would like to try a heavier cue with a tip something like 9.75 or even 10mm. I always preferred a shorter cue…56”…no more than 57”…My two cues have been maple and my first was stolen. Old cues always felt better than new ones…Can you advise where it might be possible to pick up an older cue to my requirements or are they all tightly held on to by collectors?

4:04 Noticed the "Anti-Grip" label on the Mannocks - what is that about? A cue that slips out of your hand - seems like a disadvantage? !!
Probably refers to the bridge hand that : - )
haha that was my immediate thought watching the video too
Great video, I have argued with people that SH used the "bronze" badge , I remember seeing the cue in his book , that I still have, that has some good pics of Stephen with the cue, I to did question the model and how much He was told was actually paid for it , I dare say a bit of Scottish barterring took place and maybe a few favours for such a young good player. SH is not a cue geek , we know more about the cue than him tbh but the point is it was his tool, and I still want one, Any way would you know why a red bage would not be recessed or flush fitted into the butt, I have seen one for sale that is undoubtley an Ash PGC cue but the badge is glued on top of the but and not recessed, have you come across this before?
Looking for some advice. I belive I have a 1st edition. It has been modified at some stage to transform it into a 3/4 cue. I'm looking to sell this and get the best price possible. Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi, love this channel. A couple questions, Where can i learn more about adam cues? Example: How can i tell the earlier makes to the older ones? Where can i find the full range? Etc.
All ways great to watch your videos and the knowledge you have
Appreciated.
How many cues do u actually have Dave?
Not as many as I used to. Oddly many are dropping in value. But I am pleased about how many others are preserving these days.
pockets like buckets !!! you could get a bus through them!
A minibus perhaps?
Went to his website and couldn't access any content.😮
He has stopped collecting old cues. But he is still making cues. When he is not working or out walking the hills.
Yeah, I had the same issue. The website has not been maintained.

Just so you guys know. On Facebook. He is known as Queensbury Cues.
I was wondering where you'd been dave!? Is this your first video for a number of years?
I have a Facebook page. These videos are a special event for me. So yes. In a way. I have been quiet here.
👍
Dominic just comes across as a really nice interesting fella I’ve always been a fan 👍
This is an all time favourite interview of mine! Would love to see more interviews with any pros who love old cues
no fantasy or creativity at all in snooker cues, they're so sad
Not as sad as your parents are...
@@mymodel6what’s wrong with you?
@@hatesitrick Some dead head is asking why there is no "fantasy or creativity" in snooker cues, and you're wondering what's wrong with ME..? Are you broken as well?
Sell me one David....been looking for a holy grail cue for YEARS😒
Subed👍🏼I'm also a sad git that's mesmerised by old vinatge stix of wood😂😉🎱
Thats very hard to believe it's not a replica model from one of the better cue makers of the UK! Its just so immaculate. That is a real brammer of a cue either way and I would be super proud to own that too! I hope you actually play with it though. It's too nice not too!😍
Do you ever sell your cues ??
Do you part with any of these cues? Can I ask you a question as I'm sure your a true wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things cues and the game itself. I'm just over half way through the local league here in Wales and I've found myself in a kind of nightmare. My old trusty cue that I've owned for many years has warped. It was always a little bent but the bend was pointing down so it never effected me because I couldn't see it whilst feathering the cue, now the cue has decided to warp to the right & it has caused havoc with my game. It is both psychological and the fact that I can clearly see it! Basically it's time I found a new cue (we all know that can be very tricky) especially when your so attached to a certain cue. My question is can you still find some of the older quality cues like Burroughs & Watts etc that will clean up well and still be used as players? I really really like the old traditional 1piece Ash cues with the old style large plate at the butt. Do you have anything that you would part with sir? I use a cue between 57.25-58" long, around 18.5-19oz in weight with the bias being toward the butt of the cue, I like a nicely tapered cue down to a 9-9.1mm tip with beautiful dark evenly gapped arrows, I prefer the last 2-3inches of the cue not to have any arrows at all, just personal preference. Do you have anything your willing to part with? I am willing to pay a fair price. If not could you please point me in the right direction. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! I am actually having a cue made by Kev Wheeler in the coming months but I would also like to add an older vintage player to my arsenal as I've always loved the look of them & I love the fact that they hold history. There is always a story with an older quality cue and that for some reason really does it for me! If only they could talk eh!🙂 My name is Mark btw....if you think you could be of any help please let me know. Thankyou Mark.👍🏼
Just saw your message. I rarely sell. There are good old cues about. I would take your cue to Trevor White or Jonathan Lonergan to see if they can help.
This looks like the Glover "Champions Cue" he makes. The ebony is completely black with no open wood grains like its made of steel. I have one similar but made of ash for 8 ball pool. I also have a Glover cue case but looks like they don't sell cue cases anymore.
They don't, you are correct.
Interesting on what you said about the paint. Powerglide also made a cue called 'The Custom Built' which had perfect black hand splices painted over the actual ebony splices. It was then lacquered. I sanded one back once and the underlying splices where all terribly uneven. I think they did this so they could still promote the cue as a hand spliced ebony cue.
Lovely cues them and decent weight 18oz
Do you still have this cue? I would like it
I do. But I am not selling it. I occasionally use it myself.
@@davidsmith5523 what about now Dave? 😊
Not much of a game without it. Great piece Dave 👍👌
Is it true that spencer could screw the length of the table with a 7mm tip
Any chance of contacting you in private ? Regarding a cue ?
Bought two Grand cues from eBay and i love them both. A one piece like Ronnie’s and a multi spliced 3/4 cue like Dave Gilbert’s maximus cue. I know his is a 1 piece. Wouldn’t part with either of them. May have been very lucky.
I have a cue by raper and sons Manchester, are they any good?
If you could contact me via Facebook under Cues n Views, I will be better able to assist.
How much are these cues worth?

I was unwell for a while. But am a lot better now.
My pal Tony Elias actually owns Ray's burwat champion which ray signed for him
I use a burwat champion 🏆. Fantastic cue!!
It's great stuff this Dave,, no fluking or fluffing!
He really got on with it.
All junk with zero pedigree
Only the great Ray Reardon was better than John Spencer at that time😊😊John was a fabulous player and a real gentleman!
Hi David I just came across your channel today I really like it I love old snooker cues when I started playing in 86 I’ve a old powerglide cue from 88 It’s a beautiful vintage cue I really want to collect more in the next few years Do you know where I can buy some David and the powerglide brochure ? I had a old Horace lindrum cue from 87 with he’s photo on a white plaque but no idea where it went I’ll continue to watch more of the videos today all best David 💜
Any idea value of a single Adams cue second hand

Hi Dave, I've got one of these Willie Smith Record cues in maple. You were kind enough to give me some information on it several years ago. When I found it it had a crack in the butt & two points missing, but was refurbed by a local cue maker, best part of 30 years ago, and I've still got it now! Great cues! Enjoyed the video 😊

He did indeed.
Hiya....could you tell me when that first machined cue was made please...ive got one but it needs repairing..
