I like how brilliant yet practical of an idea this is. Retrofitting of old cars is definitely a needed step in the long transition to a greener future. Without this possibility, a lot of these cars would either be scrapped or need electric conversions which can be cost prohibitive in many parts of the world

This is basically just the modern day car guy to be honest, I wouldn't call him a genius. Sure he's done his own board layout and design but even that's nothing too special these days. I'd be impressed if it was the 90's where a lot of aftermarket ecu manufacturers started in a similar fashion like haltech etc. For anyone looking to do something similar look up speeduino.
