A great question is, will we finally be ranked in national preseason rankings? We were one of very few P5 teams that were never ranked in the last CFP format. Also, I think us making huge waves in the portal shows we are serious. Hopefully going forward we change the narrative about us and start getting more blue chip HS recruits. Our pitch could be, we have an easier path to the CFP.

You guys are forgetting a lot of the Media Experts remain “butt hurt” over picking Tech as one of the favorites in ‘23 only to see us fall flat on our face. The irony is those same media people were also hyping us with their pick of us in ‘23 and are damn sure still bitter about being wrong. See John Kurtz (a KSt guy who I like btw), see Pete Mundo, Drake Toll (Baylor Alum) and many others. I’m betting even if we win the Bowl Game we’ll still be picked 5th at best.

Forgive me but as a new subscriber & viewer I don’t have you guys names down yet… but I’ll get there! Question: hat backwards guy… why do you characterize this class as “once in a lifetime?” A lot of us give a lot of money to the program so maybe you young guys should get on board with the idea that us old coots are tired of being an afterthought and have decided it’s time to step up financially in order to win. Unfair observation?

Tech will be among the Big 12 favorites when outsiders do the predictions. The portal class backed by good HS classes 2-3 years ago and the returning production. Behren was a top 10 passing yardage guy and you have two leading returning WRs in Caleb and Coy. Gotta get into the season and see how the health goes but you are wearing that favorite tag so might as well lean into it and be ready. This team will almost certainly be top 25 pre-season and have a spotlight.

To nitpick- not totally sold on the two 6'8 tackles. From their tape they seem more finesse. Would like to add another OL, slot wr and LB.

Conrad is the Reddest Raider on this show. Hammond will shred Arkansas. Behren would too. Both of them are great. I’m riding with Behren until I can’t.

Guys, great show. I get Conrad’s comments about Behren but the reality of what College football is versus what it should be or was has changed with the Portal, Revenue Sharing , NIL, and the Mega $$$$ Biz invested. In addition to the situational aspect of a new OC , changed offensive scheme there’s young and new players that the QB is instrumental in successfully installing a changed offense in the limited time they have. Add to that the $$$$$ that will have been spent in the Portal this season on the OL and Skill players would suggest that Will (and I expect an experienced/talented QB thru the Portal) will be focused on installing the offense together in the Spring and early Summer. This “could” put Behren at a real disadvantage to earn back his starting role. There’s also the unknowns of Behren’s recovery that Coach McGuire must manage/weigh vs getting his team ready for the 25 season. Really no way of calculating what will happen but Ŧ’s Spring Football season is always key to preparing for their next season and schedule. With a new OC and DC I’m expecting this one to be even more so.

Depends on health for Morton , if he is not physically recovered, then he'll have to wait until he's ready .

I wish the best for him, but I suspect he just had a lot of people in his ear telling him what he should do. It's hard to go up against the unrealistic family/friend expectations. If he went to ATM (or anyone else) to begin with, he would likely be in the exact same boat with them. I think he could have a very bright future, but I think TTU tried to try him at every receiving position.
