Interesting theory but as an archer for 50 years i know many more compound bow shooters with far worse injuries than recurve archers....

I think you need to revisit some of your assumptions/variables, displacement 65cm = 25.6 inches approx, add onto that the brace height of the bow at probably 8.5 inches plus the usual 1.75 inches to convert to amo draw length you've got Brady having a 35.8 inch draw length, that is a crazy number! 28 - 29 inches would be about the average. Compound bow manufacturers have been working to engineer the archer out of archery for many years. In my opinion the compound bow belongs in the olympics as about as much as a formula 1 car...
Very interesting and informative as an archer. Two things, the forces at the top and bottom of the bow are not the same, they are set up differently. Additionally, compounds don’t mitigate injury problems, they have a higher peak weight but less of a holding weight, but yes, they get a reputation for being less fit! We should not remove recurve from the Olympics imo. Nice video.
