For chemical engineering, ETHZ or TUD?

Hey david. Thank you so much for the video. I do have few question I found no answer anywhere. First one is, In case of US or CA, we have to manage a professor (who would like us to get admitted into their college and sometimes it opens the door for scholarship too) and then we have to apply centrally. Is it the same case for switzerland? And does managing any professor (if there is any such culture in swiss) somehow improve my chance of getting admitted into the college like in the USA or CA.And as you said, there is an interview for ESOP, does the interviewer somehow is the one of which my given topic would match? Secondly, from your experience (also you've already made a Q&A video about that but there were only 4 people and with very high gpa ofc), what is the weight of GPA in case of getting and ESOP? For example, if I'm from a lesser known uni with an average GPA but if I can propose a good thesis proposal, is there any chance that I might gate accepted? Finally, (I'm so sorry for taking your time) what would you call a good thesis proposal? For example, if my thesis proposal is something an ETH professor have worked with and I want to continue into that field, is it a good proposal or is it something that doesn't have to fit into any professor's previous work domain but can be a very hot topic at that time? Hi David! Similar to you, i'm studying aerospace engineering at TU Delft, and would like to study the masters in robotics, systems and control at ETH Zurich from 2025 onward. Do you recommend going to the open days of ETH around 5 September or is it only useful for prospective bachelor students?

I got an opportunity be at both the universities. And I must tell you that Tu delf is far better in project based learning whereas if u are a book worm then ethz is the best choice for you.

@davidalonso please i'd like to know if it's possible to apply for a Master in Cyber Security after the deadline for International Students. I live in Africa, in the inquirements, i found this amazing university of Zurich but unfortunately it was a little bit late because the application deadline was the 15th of this month. The office admission looks close for the holliday since they don't reply to my e-mails. Please let me know if i still have the chance to apply from your experience.

However, in your template, you have written it under one document as a passage. So, isn't it necessary to outline the timeline that shows our plan weekly for the project? And don't we need to use multiple subheadings to organize the sections?

I cannot explain everything in 500 words while also explaining my topic. Who is my target audience for the pre-proposal and how do you recommend mitigating this?

I study CS at TUD. The part about working less than 42 hours at TUD is not possible without a study delay. The course load is very heavy and rather fast pace. It’s somewhat manageable but TUD makes you work for these 15 ECTS. The upside is that you can learn a lot and get a very nice and broad perspective but on the other hand, if you are not fully efficient and with your time or want to work next to studying or find the study to be difficult, it can burn you out if you aim to finish your study in 2 years.
