I own a pair and have never seen my woofers move like that. It must be that song. I use subwoofers for bass. Amazing speakers, as good as anything.
A moving woofer like that is NOT GOOD. I could play that funky guitar passage LOUD through my big LEAK 2075's (70's) and the 15" sandwich woofers would not move at all. Lesson.....big woofers are the best ??

Your bass sounds terrible, boomy and no control. Only my opinion. Ki three audio with bxt sounds incredible in home environment. ruclips.net/video/OX9bOcEFzvs/видео.html I hope you can hear the difference, thats a fast bass. Kii goes down to 20 Hz without any issues and can play really loud.

But you miss the point of those two demo's, the point is - what can be done with so little (size/money), as opposed to spending tens of thousands, with little bass depth to show/hear for it. So how ATC could have such large drivers, and get such little bass depth from them is ... astounding, and not in a good way! Anyways, ATC is one of those companies that sucks bass out of the equation for some reason. I thought as an Audiophile, one wants to reproduce the sound as created by the original source … and bass is one of the components of the experience as a whole. Take that out, and what you have is an artificial sound, whichever way you slice it, and what true audiophile would opt for that! Unlikely to its fullest potential unless it has 50 watts minimum
@@BrianGarside I have been using my Audio Innovation 500 tube amp driving my Epos M12 , so far quite nice. I used to drive my Epos M12 using XA-2 50 watt solid state amp doesn't sound as good. I understand that ATC SCM7 speaker has low db and not easy to drive.
@@raymondchew8894 How many watts is the tube amp? Tubes sound nice, but underpowering wont. Im just telling you what others have said. oh sealed enclosures are harder vs ported to drive as well.
@@BrianGarside my tube amp is 25 w class A driven EL 34. Yes, it sounds sweet especially with vocal. The bells sound angel when playing violins and xylophone.

No, but the large dome helps make the woofer cone more rigid. It's not done for midrange speakers normally because they are relying on the breakup behavior of a smaller cone and dust cap, and the dust cap can experience resonances in the midrange that cause coloration.

Being real woofer I know from experience that this the perfect way to getr your speakers damaged. Please stay within volume levels where the woofer is driving normally and is flexing so easy you do not really see it moving!!!

Hi there! I'm thinking about buying te SCM40. Are they making you happy? The worry I have is that they are not crispy/extended in the high frequency enough. Do you have an opinion about that? Which speakers did you own beforehand?
btentusscher not sure about the speakers, but if you are trying to judge them through this.. RUclips applies heavy compression and cut off above 16khz so you can see what went wrong there..
In the past ATCs have been notorious for being too crispy ! With new tweeter of their own production they reached great balance between detail, resolution, dispersion and musicality. If you value high frequencies you can buy ATCs with confidence !
I heard the ATC 19 at my friends place, stunning sound, and what i can hear so far it is another step upwards!

Stunning watch. Too bad i cannot get it in The Netherlands. I could import the watch from Japan (internet purchase) but then i would have to pay 21% VAT when i get it delivered by mail. That would make it too expensive for me. Beautiful watch though.
