No idea if anyone has mentioned it, but you can shift c while hovering ur mouse over any target enemy npc urself whoever to open their character sheet which streamlines the process from hover right click character sheet defenses to just hover shift c click d which significantly reduces the tedium

Been getting into the game and love the videos, really helping me out trying new classes. Quick question, what's the setting that lets you see what class enemies are from tooltips? I have the same addons you have and have looked trought the game options with no luck.

Hello Drybe! Just wanted to say that your videos really helped me stick with TOME and its quickly becoming my favorite roguelike. I really appreciate your method of explaining these classes in a way thats easy to digest, and i'm looking forward to the rest of them!

I love this game and put thousands of hours into it. I still find it elegant and beautiful to an extent that no other game is except for some traditional games like chess. The online ladder was competitive and vibrant for many years, And even after thousands of games played, I still felt like I had higher potential to achieve when it came to skill. The games were deep and engaging, yet were also bite-sized and short, which is one of the holy grails of game design. The balance was also exquisite. There would be these beautiful build-ups of bluffing, counter-bluffing, and implied cards that were going to be played, and this tension would build for a while, and then all the cards would come out in one player would win by one HP. After a while, you could just feel that you had this minuscule edge, and it was time to close out the win. I never got tired of it. Years later I moved on to Faeria and had an equally rich experience online with that, although I exclusively drafted.

I'm currently playing paradox mage on insane roguelike as well, and I don't really get it if this is a problem of the class, or of the difficulty itself, but I can't really FEEL the damage. Yeah, I have huge survivability and easily went out of situations where other classes probably could have nothing to do, but sometimes it takes forever to kill enemies, despite of paradox. Attenuate 5/5, Echoes from the past 5/5, Seal Fate and Fateweaver both 4/5, and still no damage. Right now I'm in early 30s levels, and seeing another elite enemy sometimes makes me kind of want to close the game. I tried to look in the internet for what I'm doing wrong, and all I see is how people praise this class and tell how overwhelmingly powerful it is. Like if we are playing different games. Or maybe they mean it for normal difficulty though.

Thankyou, Nice Guide as always i've tried brawler before your guide come up, and use anti magic it's good on early-mid but become really hard on mid-end and didnt really make it (or maybe because i played it in noob style xD)

Gotta add some corrections, tho: 17:07 - I haven't tested this skill personally, but you can't rely on the "Usage speed" tooltips for that - they never take global speed into account and only care about combat/mental/spell speed, so you can't judge the skill based on them. 32:56 - this +all resist ego ("defender's") is not light armor helmet only, it's just as common for heavy armor as well.

Brawler was my first win and was so easy that I haven't played it since before ToME came to Steam. Now I'm looking at a guide that makes it even more broken. Guess I'm booting ToME up again...

Genuinely, Battle Brothers is probably the best money I've ever spent on Steam. I've gotten so many hours out of it. I use it's soundtrack for my tabletop games. It's balance is very tight and it's one of the few games I hardly ever mod, but it might be time to shake things up.

Help needed.I am still on T1 dungeons and have exhausted a few good body reserves but still cannot beat the boss. How to proceed now, because the mobs have been cleared in this dungeon. Should i go to another dungeon to harvest new bodies and come back to challenge the boss?

Such an underrated game, the first one was so classic and this improved on it in nearly every way esp. with the open world, but for some reason it barely got a fraction of the exposure of the first. I think Humble Bundle had a lot to do with the popularity of the first game, which was well past its heyday by the time this came out. I didn't even realize this was Drybe when I clicked on the vid, but it's a real treat to watch one of my favorite tubers cover hidden gems like this!

I just won my first insane game, following this guide. However, I left anti-magic shield at level 2.5 (adept) and somehow it only blew up once in the entire game. Somehow equilibrium was apparently decreasing and I don't even understand why or how. In any case, thank you for the guide. This build had the easiest time ever in the final fight, inner demons on Elandar absolutely wrecked them both. One minor point, you mentioned Mental Tyranny as a possible second prodigy, but in my opinion that one is outclassed by far by Ethereal Form. Which also adds resistance penetration, but provides a massive defense boost on top of it.

Awesome video, this game deserved a great review like this. Hyper Demon is one of the most unique games I’ve ever played and it brings back arcade-era gameplay density in the best way. I’ve made it to the final boss almost 20 times now, I have yet to beat it, but I’m fine with that, because it keeps me wanting more!

I'm having problem with the Windtouch speed prodigy prerequisite, I have a total of 10 level on Antimagic and Mindstar Mastery and ofcs 50 dex but I still cant learn the prodigy. Any help?
