@@BucketListBees everyone has different taste. We just add until we get the taste we like. Every brand of cinnamon has its own properties. If you change brands you have to adjust until you get your taste.
If you are going to make flavored honey make sure it has started to cream before adding the flavor. If you add a powder to liquid it will float to the top and not remain throughout the honey. It is also important as soon as the flavor has been added to get into a chiller at 54 degrees to finish the creaming process.
When you first put that camera down, I thought you were going to go pick up one of those supers. I was screaming at my phone, DON'T DO IT DOUG!" 😅 You are getting the hang of that lifter. It looks tricky.
Hey Doug…when you warm your honey, do you go higher than 90 F. (How high do you go?) And if so, do you cool it to 70 F before starting the creaming process?
That new controller will have enough snap! I ended up having to use five strands plus a ground level strand that's connected to ground. No bear problems with that arrangement.
I guess we don't have enough hunters anymore. Bears are spreading all over North America. Probably not all bad but I wish they would leave your hives alone. Those traps should get Mr Bear.
Bears were unheard of in our part of the world. A few years ago there were the odd sightings. This year we have identified 12 different bear. Four were cubs and the rest adults. Three of the adults are deceased. There are no bear hunters in our area. Bears are top of the food chain with no enemies. They will only increase.
You can use any treatment in them. Right now we use two deeps that take twice the amount of treatments as a single deep. If we can successfully winter in single we could cut our mite control bill in half.
Those Zero turn mowers are the cat's meow. Doug I'd love to see a YT on making those fire starters. I've tried twice and I'm not happy with the results. I tried sawdust and that didn't work well because the hot wax didn't penetrate. Pine shavings seems to loosely packed. Thanks for the video.
I finally got my message through to them. I had to send a video to convince them. If you need a contact for them it’s apijuneda@gmail.com and the person I felt with was Pau.
I know what you mean!! One harvest to another
Cool Doug. Thank you for sharing your process.
Before becoming a beekeeper I never realized the cost of honey production on scale. Thanks for sharing.👍
Nice wax.👍
Make sense to put wheels on the creamer Instead of running more hoses to get in the way. Will you keep running the creamer all winter?
I have about 5,000 pounds done now and will get about 2,000 more and that will be it.
That is some nice blocks of wax. Bryan from Flower Street could use a couple of those blocks. LOL Do you make many candles and sell ?
Make a few candles
I just leave a bit for seeding the next batch.
If you refill it right away would you have to add more seed honey or just leave a little creamd honey in the tank to mix with the new batch?
That is a great use of an old chest freezer. With those sales I would be out of honey in 5 days. LOL Thanks for posting Doug.
@@russellkoopman3004 Weyburn has been really good to us. This is the third order going there and they were bigger than this one.
Love the vidss ❤
Beautiful looking creamed honey! clover mix?
No. We did not have much clover this year. Most of that would be from canola.
Sir a very clean and orderly honey house. Love the front sign!
If you grab that hot wire you will know for sure that it's working. LOL Do you leave the top opening all winter?
Curious as to your recipe for cinnamon honey. ? Willing to share.??

Is there a smaller version of the creamer? And where would you suggest finding one? Ty!
@@kelleycrider1985 yes. There are different sizes. There are several different makes and most bee stores have them listed.
Some of those supers look stuffed. I can see why they weighted so much.
Doug, first class operation there. I like the way you set things up to make it easy and efficient. Do you run a dehumidifier also in the warming room?
@@russellkoopman3004 yes, we run a big dehumidifier when honey is above 17 percent moisture.
Looking good!
Great video Doug! Question…Will a creamer lighten the color of the honey if left in the creamer for a number of days?
@@lomavistabeeco creaming honey will lighten honey but the biggest factor is the flower source.
Quite the operation! The creamed honey looks delicious.
Привет друг. Можешь сделать видео обзор крана для погрузке пчел. Как устроен кран, как устроена автоматика и гидравлика. Спасибо

This is a trip down memory lane!
My back hurts just watching that.

great video
The fix they sent is working fine.

@@lomavistabeeco I warm it to 100 to 105 to make sure any rogue crystals are gone and then let it cool to room temperature before adding seed.

So where exactly does the Styrofoam come into this?
@@Noone-of-your-Business bpgrower.com
The flowers you are wondering about look like it might be birdsfoot trefoil. Hard to tell without a closeup. But you can search and compare.
@@johnbessemer3777 I will have to take a real good look. We have another yellow flower that is showing up as well.
Looks like an amazing location for bees!
Love the clean honey house

I'd love to try those polystyrene brood boxes!

This is that yard you mentioned a while back? I hate it when the batteries die like that. Blessed Days...

Nice sign.
That stainless steel equipment looks so nice. Looks like you could eat off of the floor. They did a nice job.
Thanks 👍
