Great job Sikkim Ko team. It’s very interesting how both the speakers were talking about coping mechanisms and how we need to strengthen them probably now more than ever. I feel that the neoliberal capitalist world has been designed to isolate us into atomistic and (to compensate for that) increasingly narcissistic existence. We, in Sikkim, have become such willing victims to this culture of competition and greed. The younger generation being more sensitive see this hypocrisy in Sikkimese society wherein we are trying our best to appear social and forcing the young to participate in such displays of sociability when we actually just want to compare and compete with others in terms of status and privilege. So the need of the hour is to diagnose this issue in a deep manner. Making coping mechanisms just for sake of protecting us from psychological disorders is not going to work if we don’t bring authenticity and honesty back into our lives.

Hello I am a student pursuing Master's in Urban Studies from Ambedkar University Delhi and me coming Jorethang, seeing the video makes me work or write something on it for the public to create more awareness. Since my dissertation is coming up it would be of great help if I can get a email id or something so that we can have a conversation and work along for the betterment of the public..

My humble suggestion - you need to up ur production value……more cameras, more angles and maybe a few B-Rolls here and there. Cuz this single frame is not doing justice to the great content that you have put together. Nevertheless, awesome content. Thank you! I am a lot wiser than I was 45 minutes ago.

You guys are doing excellence podcasts. However, Agya Pema seems like little immature as journalist, when he says, Disasters risk response force as whatever and RBI as boring agencies when they updated climate change as serious issues on their bimonthly report . And Human right commission has nothing despites its statutory body not constitutional one. Pls try to realised their importance to upgrade their responsibility towards sco-economic functions even govt. Is so corrupt and useless. But also need to understand govt. are chosen by people's with voting democracy. Humble request, Pls be serous on what you say coz we all are watching and learning seriously. Dont make it as entertainment medium like india's Godi media..

what I dont understand about these "new rules" being laid out in relation to the mass hiring and regularization is that aren't these employees too covered under the same Service Rules like every other employee of the government? If yes, do we need this process of defining everything. Couldn't the rule that is already in place be followed.

It is a fact that the post of Chairman, SPCB Sikkim has been lying vacant for some time. And just to correct the hosts, the post is no longer filled by a Govt. nominee/political appointee. There is a Selection Committe for selecting the Chairman based on set eligibility criteria. Further, it is not true to say that SPCB doesnt have any staff.

Dasain is a broader term meaning "festival" as the saying goes "Nepali dasain & bhotay dasain" Bada Dasain is referred to Vijay Dashami or the day Goddess Durga slayed Mahisaur (as it is the longest and most significant for Nepali Hindus)

You think body cam is not necessary here in sikkim ? I once had an argument with a lady beat police over a very small issue, it was just an argument at the end of the day but then she went to thana filed an FIR saying I physically assaulted her and I was detained for 24 hours after that to squash the FIR she demanded money from me, so u see police are also the biggest extortionist here in sikkim so body cam is a must.
