Sad Café Live Tour 2012
Просмотров 20 тыс.11 лет назад
A collection of all the individual songs I captured on my little Lumix Panasonic Camera (All posted on my youtube page separately) 40 minutes of Sad Café as recorded from my seat at The Cafs concert on 16th November 2012 at Sale Waterside, Manchester. This is their first tour in 25 years without, unfortunately, some major past members, Vic Emerson, John Simpson, the fantastic Lenni on Sax and t...

Who was there.... Can you spot yourselves? The end of a brill return gig in Sad Cafés hometown... Manchester !! Bit out of focus just for a minute but then shaky due to me dancing while filming, lol !!.. Quote from Official website: Sad Café, one of the primary live bands of the 70s and 80s return for their first tour in 25 years. Led by longtime members Ian Wilson, Dave Irving, Ashley Mulford ...
Sad Café - EVERYDAY HURTS (Live 2012) - At Sale Waterside, Manchester 16/11/12

New lineup playing Everyday Hurts.... hurts without Paul !!!!.... BUT.... Being at this concert I am so glad they did this song, they just had to. Understandably Sad Café need to move on and Steve Whalley, who like the rest of the band did a fine job but maybe not quite polished or settled in yet. He may have stood in the place of Paul but really was not re-placing him as the vocals were shared...
Sad Café - FANX TA-RA (Live 2012) - At Sale Waterside, Manchester 16/11/12
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.12 лет назад
Fabulous Vocals from SUE QUIN taking the lead on Fanx... By far the best addition to the band in this new 2012 lineup !! No one could ever replace Paul Young and no one was trying to, they ALL shared the vocals and lead (and we still have Mulford, yeh to that!!) There will never be another lead singer or lineup to recreate the original Sad Café sound, but the new band are still amazing in their...

( EMPTYNESS @ 04.26mins ) Ashley Mulford - BRILLIANT !! I BELIEVE (Love Will Survive) by Sad Café Sing me a love song One I can understand It may sound silly in this age of modern man I'm a believer in love's eternal plan And I believe love will survive Yes I believe love will survive Oh I believe love will survive forever Give me the moonlight Give me the silver beams Give me a young girl, I g...

New lineup sharing vocals with Ashley taking lead on this one, Black Rose. Apologies to Dave .... I just couldn't get you in camera shot from my seat position, you need to be elevated from behind your symbols :) Black Rose By Sad Café Rose was having a problem She held the answer in her hand But on this auspicious occasion She didn't really understand I went to meet her at the station Her famou...

Wow. If memory serves me I saw the Zombies, the Byrds AND the Rolling Stones at a two night event in Sacramento Calif in 1965. I was 15. My first concert. Unbelievable.
❤❤❤ 60 years, omg, i thought they were retired, love these band since the 60's, best band ever, i'm being nostalgic 'cause its my era. I'm 74 now ❤❤❤❤
*Drive into a muddy filthy puddle* This dude: "clean 😊"
Thought I’d take her for a paddle , we barely got our feet wet , been through deeper puddles , well , that’s global warming for you I suppose 😂 . Hawes , Wensleydale .
60 years on … as brilliant as they ever were . Had tears in my eyes , didn’t want the night to end . What a superb performance in a fabulous venue.
What a fabulous gig with tracks from The Zombies early years of the 60's right up to showcasing some from their brilliant new album 'Different Game'
They are making the next big news story for all the sheeple. 😁
No doubt, this gonna be BBC (British Bullshit Corporation) new Fake News story about black victims and evil white racists 🙄
They are making the news.
thats staged with crisis actors
Is this the next Interceptors series?
They're clearly filming. 🙂
new tv program :)
what's it called?
@@duke82493 get in the car or we will arrested you :)
@@duke82493 Clue is in the title.. no prizes :)
It might be helpful if you told us what the hell this was all about !
I think they've just rescued three people being held hostage by Boris Johnsons insatiable sex drive, phwoar!!!
It's the new Interceptors series first episode lol
🤣😂
Questo film l'ho visto e rivisto tante volte questa scena è bellissima 😊❤
So New York City really knew the spoiler huh?
I mean they were filming in broad daylight for anyone to see
I wouldnt have married Carrie either. She looked ridiculous in that wedding dress and veil. Much better at the Justice of the Peace in her simple suit and great shoes.
THE SEXY GIRLS ARE KIMSEX.UNO THREE IN ONE RUclips: THIS IS FINE. SOMEONE: SAYS ''HECK''. RUclips: BE GONE Life's story is a short journey so have fun before sleeping forever #Чо #эт #делает #на #2 #месте #в #тренде #однако #я #люблю #таких #рыбаков .#垃圾.
I would’ve left Carrie too the way she was acting. Charlotte was the worst. Miranda and Samantha are the only two that saved this
my heart was in my mouth towards the end when i noticed one of the crew laying underneath the car, thank God it didn't drive off.
That scene was beautiful
Oh dear, this isn't Sad Cafe as I remember. Destroying the legacy of a truly great band is achieved here.
Sad Cafe? More like Sad Hot Dog Stand. This is truly dreadful. Sad Cafe were better than the Rolling Stones in their time, but this is an embarrassment. When will these aged rock musicians call it a day. And i don't just mean this lot. It finished a long time ago.
best ''new cafe '' i've heard ...... all we need is a sax
why is that guy lying near th car?
The car door wouldn't stay open so he was holding it, as can be seen in my first vid ruclips.net/video/6DH6nyjdTKs/видео.html
I luv this song ... memmories of the mid 1970s ... good times (in my memmory that is)
Wow I had no idea this was how the scene was filmed....so interesting! So I guess the screen becomes a backdrop? And the cars driving away are filmed separately? I'm confused lol
No, this is for close shots and microphone only. There is another scene they filmed without the screens without any talking and you can see the street open.
It's true, it's interesting. I think it's shot for Mr Big scenes and the screen is for him to be lighted. They probably redo the scene for Carrie with the light on the other side and other big angle shots. Filmmaking seems so tricky though.
Is Ashley at lead guitar?
Where is this filmed at
2007, 40th St W, New York City, alongside the Library of Humanities and Social Science.
+RavensUK thanks so much!!
Saw them at the Apollo in Manchester in, er.....can't remember the year. Sad Caff and 10cc are what made me proud to be born and bred in Mancland. When I was small and growing up in Stretford in the '60s all the older kids seemed to have a cousin, sister or knew someone who was going out with one of Herman's Hermits. In the '70s it was Sad Cafe. They played at a birthday party in a pub in Bramhall at someone's birthday party under the assumed name of the Safe Cads to get out of contractual arrangements. A superb band and Paul Young is sadly missed in this house.
want to learn more on film production...
Brilliant, thanks for posting this. We had tickets to see this tour but the Cardiff gig was cancelled. Great line up bringing back so many memories of the original band.
Here's a concise bio of Vic with 2015 interviews. I knew he would never return to the line up. www.smashwords.com/books/search?query=g+r+mowbray
Love this movie,cant get enough!
Great vocals , is that the lad that used to be in Slade?
Yes, it's Steve Whalley, he was Slade’s choice to take over as lead vocalist when Noddy Holder retired. Thanks for your comment... If you want to catch them live, keep yer ears open, another tour is being arranged as we speak!!
I will do that I saw them a long time ago and thought they were excellent is that little keyboard player still with them he was exceptional
Vic Emerson... Sadly not part of the new line up, he was brilliant. Lives in France now. He's been replaced by Simon Waggot
Here's a recent bio of vic emerson. I interviewed him in 2015/6 from his Paris home. www.smashwords.com/books/search?query=g+r+mowbray
I had the privilege of seeing Sad Cafe several times in Manchester from 1979 to 85, this a more mature sound from the band. No one can replace Paul but good song is still good. Saw Paul and Ashley with Mike and the Mechanics at Irvine Meadows, California in 1986. Thanks for posting this video beings back great memories.
That Lady has a beautiful voice.
great post
Ashley 30 again this year, but still getting better, you ought to come out for a drink with your oldest friends next time your home.
With respect to the version of Sad Café that was fronted by Paul Young Sadly those days are now long gone but his line up of the band is incredible and really treat the legacy with all the due respect it deserves. I hope people go and see this line up; this performance is incredible and they are Sad Café long may it continue. Always were a great band and they still are :)
Chris, just a quick question, but why did you keep your mouth shut? I'd have been royally pissed off at the time.....
Superb Version!!!
2012 Brilliant !!... But, what a difference a year makes.. 2013 WOW !! Click on Lucys facebook link above :)
Dave Irving, legend. He used to say "Woke up this morning, got a written warning..." :o)
my all time favourite sad cafe song
Pity they cant perform it. Paul is turning in his grave!!!
Rubbish not like the early days with Paul, don't even resemble the original must go they are killing it RIP Paul Bert and hilda x
Great night from Ian and the gang - couldn't get to Nantwich tonight unfortunately. Can't wait for the next one!
what a night at Lowry immense , more gigs in sept i here cant wait...... bring it on whheyy
Have always loved this band. Sounds great - mind, being a drummer....and having HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE respect for Dave Irving.....his kit sounds a bit like a set of timbales....
great look forward to that
Yes, last night was the true return of Sad Cafe, the past wont be forgotten but here's to the future!! I have footage from last nights gig but prob not as good as the front row is too near for recording, will post when I get chance to look at it all, there is a lot, lol!!,
was there to last night fantastic not seen them live since 1980 sound just as good now as then will be there next time
