Big big security hole with these systems. They set the default access port as 34567. This is very very bad. It is a known port to attack the NVR. Multiple Xiongmai NVR devices, including MBD6304T V4.02.R11.00000117.10001.131900.00000 and NBD6808T-PL V4.02.R11.C7431119.12001.130000.00000, allow authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as root, as exploited in the wild starting in approximately 2019. A remote and authenticated attacker, possibly using the default admin:tlJwpbo6 credentials, can connect to port 34567 and execute arbitrary operating system commands via a crafted JSON file during an upgrade request. Since at least 2021, Xiongmai has applied patches to prevent attackers from using this mechanism to execute telnetd. References: [CVE-2022-45045] Change it to anything else - maybe 56323 or something similar. DO NOT USE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES 34567 AS IT WILL BE ATTACKED. I went through hell with this.

I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! The key was able to turn the lock but when I took off the back-end piece, just leaving the front section and the mechanical door latch, I noticed that it also would not close. Therefore, I deduced it was not the actual electronic portion of the unit. What you need to do is to remove the front part, and re-align the flat bar that is attached to the front piece. If it is horizontal for lock, then turn the unit so that the flat bar is now vertical. This process also works by switching from vertical to horizontal But the bottom line is that the issue arises when the flat bar on the front piece of the unit is mis-aligned. The internal mechanism that receives the bar looks like a cross, and the bar can be attached either vert or horizontal. I just had it mixed up for some reason and once I made this simple switch, the lock now works fine. I wish the folks at Smonet would put this remedy on their faq or website, youtube channel. Let me know if you are having difficulty and I can try to walk you through it!

I'm having the same issue with the signal. Mine are dropping out regularly. Do you know if there is a stronger antenna or a signal booster available to purchase?

Where can I get the door sensor? Do I need this to get alerts if my door is opened while I am away? I bought the G2 but reading the manual it looks like I need a door sensor now.

I have these in the 8 camera system. I can not figure out on the app how to view a single camera, instead of it pulling all up in small pictures. That I'm not really happy with. Can't find anything on there that will allow you to do that. Wasn't as easy to set up like some of the others I've had. Not so easy from the app or from the NVR. I hope I like these. Pretty clear viewing.
