Glad to see you are back with more of these!
Back at it again! Awesome!
great to see you back man!
I was surprised that you didn't take Nuclear Subs for the event when you Grain Salesed it out of his hand. Especially with his control of South America. It seems like that would have been a good time to use as many coups as possible (even though it wouldn't be a _huge_ amount with your two scoring cards).
You're back! Welcome.
welcome!🎉
peter so rusty that he forgot to +2 himself!! or was he too confident on beating Team Illinois even without the +2?
@Alex-YSL and the optional cards too 😝
Welcome back!
So long as you don't plan on sharing a beer with him any time soon, if it works, it works 😅
Is it bad to event Nasser and then use it to coup Egypt T1? Gets the event out of the deck and seems like an effective way to get mil ops and drop defcon for Pakistan
"What in the world is happening???" [chant off in the distance] USA USA USA
Destalinization for ops 😂 ggez
"Life is good, its just a game, lets have fun". Anyone saw that meme of that little girl with the headset with the text "im gaming, its not supposed to be fun" ? So true....
Hey frantzy! Just wanted to say i love your videos man and it’s always great to watch you after work.
I just came across this game from a few months ago. I dont know if you realized it, but you had no BG ops in the midwar regions on T5 before playing into Brazil, so Lone Gunman was actually playable earlier on T5. Very unusual situation, but one I happened to notice.
Poor Pawel, brutal unluck in first rounds
also I've watched further, and he was unlucky in the mid war too :)
Ah, tense ending with a Defcon hope!
Sound is about 5 seconds late from the video.
A recurring issue these days 😢
Just curious why on Turn 8 you didn’t take Cuba for Central America control before scoring it? Also good luck in OTSL. I thought I signed up, but I didn’t see my name drawn in the competition, and I am a bit disappointed.
If you signed up last minute, you may be on the waitlist then. There will be many in and outs in the season, so don't be downed. However, i will check with the admins (JR Jone, Craig Richards) just in case your registration didn't go through.
@@Alex-YSL no worries, I am sure it will get figured out. Justin mentioned there were 140 people seeded and I counted 152 on the list. Also a couple of years ago I ran into an issue in RTSL and sadly had to forfeit two games, which still bothers me to this day.
@@Alex-YSL I got the email saying I was in fact waitlisted. No worries at all,
Thanks for the commantary! Interesting game if frustrating.
Thanks for uploading, that was a great game to watch, 37:15 was an interesting decision point, couping Sudan removes their adjacency to Ethiopia, and couping Zimbabwe sets up realigns on Zaire.
Wow 💙🙈💙🙈💙🙈
T9 headline probably should have been destal, right? It's possible that the missile envy pulls something good, but saving 7 points seems like a no brainer to me.
How would Destal have saved 7 points? I wouldn't be able to stop his control in SA with Destal. Missile Envy could have given me a coup that would take place before the scoring. That was my only shot.
oh I didn't realize that destal can't break country control. mb
On Turn 6 I believe it was when you had brush war, you got into a coup battle for a non battleground with the defcon at 3, which allowed him to ultimately coup Mexico. Since you had brush war, why not coup a battleground at Defcon 3, and then later use Brush War for somewhere else? We’re you afraid of getting realigned out of Mexico?
Thanks for the upload! it's a fun watch so far, I was thinking around 15:35, instead threatening Asia dom, which your opponent can easily deny in the next AR, you could take Laos before he does, which could allow you do keep some gas in the tank for the rest of the turn, and would have possibly greater long term implications for Asia
And thanks for the comment. Didn't really feel like I was focused enough today. You may discover a number of other mistakes or missed opportunities!
Stealing pepe sounds in 3,2,1... xd
I have never played this game despite the fact I bought it on Steam. I like watching these matches, but the game itself kinda intimidates me. I do have a question about balance - is it just me or is the Bear trap ridiculously strong? USSR does not have anything that can end multiple enemy cards...
The USSR has Quagmire, which does the exact same thing as Bear Trap.
How to you play this game?
I am back I found a video
@@emanueljames7801it’s very difficult but very fun
Monster hand on T2
Wow, very odd game. No disrespect to your opponent but it is obvious from his play why he is a 1200 rated player. You had a ton of bad luck that game and got a tie. I think you should consider yourself fortunate that that was against a 1200 player and not Ziemowit or Jarib.
PEPE IS SCREAMING!!!
I appreciate his sympathy
I think you did well to stay in there. A lot did not break for you. It was entertaining TS, not so much because of your suffering but your play despite it.
A rough loss. Allargando3's final play into Kenya was truly baffling. I can only assume he's some kind of grand master that amuses himself by playing for ties on this alt account. I guess his best final move was a coup on Colombia or Guatemala for Mil ops and potential to break dom on a 6? Ignoring the Star Wars, of course. No reason not to event Grain Sales obviously, since it can be played for ops either way.
Thanks for the upload, was curious, 59:00 why take the defensive coup in Argentina rather than agressive one in Venezuela? opponent might be holding SA scoring, since they're rather unpredictable.
Sometimes, we can get gunshy when rolls are bad. I just wanted the Dom and I figured it'd be more likely to get it that way.
Hello! I'm just starting with the game and I love watching your videos to learn. I've noticed realignment is rarely used, but the fight around Europe on turn 8 looked to me like a good opportunity for that. Why did you choose to place influence instead?
You can only coup or do realigns in Europe when Defcon is at 5. That is true for Asia when Defcon is 4 or 5, and Middle East when Defcon is 3, 4, or 5. That means that I could only fight by placing influence.
I'm in t5 and I already want to cry for Isaac xD
Stop watching!!! 😆
@@Frantzypantz Hahaha what a comeback :)
Alexander grahm bell called he wants his microphone back
Sure. And we can play a friendly if you want.
That'd be great! I'm currently 9 hours ahead of Texas time, but if we can make it work then let's do it.
@@Frantzypantz so can you play now?
I watch them all at 1.5 😂. Ziemowit at 2.0
We need more TS videos from the Colonel! I expect to receive more when the new OTSL season begins.
36:10 any consideration for Botswana here?
He could have couped and stopped the dom if I had. I think the move I made ensured that he dropped Africa immediately (before I played Ask Not).
those priorities make sense. trying to set up a stronger long term board position in Africa via realigns aren't as important as scoring dom before playing Ask Not. Good descision
6:25 if you're about to take France, and are planning on eventing Romanian, then put 2 into Yugo with Warsaw. This way you get immediate domination. Also, Joe has already played EEU for ops, so there's no chance you draw it twice, which means East Germany should be fine until Tear Down
Your mic has been messed up in several recent videos
Yeah, I checked the audio for my first match against Josiah and it was fine, so I didn't look at this one. *sigh*
The rare Summit victory/defeat!
Might be time to invest in a new mic
This one is new! Less than a year old :(
hmmm, maybe it's the recording software?@@Frantzypantz
Audio problem 😢

I emailed you about Team Ohio btw. Did you see it?
@@Frantzypantz Ohh no I didn't.
@@Frantzypantz Did the email address start with an s? If so send another email.
@@joshdavis3743 I sent another one
@@Frantzypantz I replied.
Yeah, your opponent's hijinks in Asia on T4 didn't seem great, I think if I were them I might've thought about walking to Nigeria mid-turn instead of the last AR, since they needed milops, and Formosan is perfect for couping Cameroon.
Audio started off okay and then got bad again! Sorry y'all
That ok i still injoyed the video even tho the adio went a littel wierd
Weird*
I guess since the subject matter is so familiar is was pretty easy to understand.
@@aunthemodyeah
Not putting any ops into India or Pakistan was big, since it allowed him to puppet his way in. Also curious why you didn’t event quagmire turn 6?
I was gonna do it at the end of the turn, but if memory serves I ended up needing it for ops
