Husqvarna 701 SM | Pure Sound POV | FMF 4.1 Tekmo Header | Episode 4
A little longer than normal between videos with this one. I like this video a lot and it was fun to make. Really nice aesthetic vibe with this one. I recently have struggled with a lack of motivation and it definitely affected my desire to make videos, but every time I make a new video that I’m proud of it helps me get back on track. Over 325 subscribers and more than 25,000 views on the channel. I really appreciate the support and all the comments, it really does mean a lot. Hope you enjoy this pov through the trees, meadows and some twisty roads on the supermoto. Lots of dirt riding in this one. Thanks for the support I’ll see you guys in the next time.

The growth on the channel recently has been awesome. Over 15,000 views and 240 subscribers, so thank you for the support it means a lot. Making videos with the supermoto in the rain is a vibe. More of a chill aesthetic pov in this video and there's a good amount of dirt riding as well. The new camera mount for the perspective facing me is working out well. Watching this back is hilarious cause I'm an odd fella on camera haha… anyway here's the update video on the 701 Supermoto. I changed up a lot of things and completely refreshed the bike visually. It's much more pleasant to look at and to ride. I always wanted an all black bike so I'm stoked on how this turned out. Thanks so much for 123 subscribers and over 7000 views on the channel. Tried to film this one a few times but certain things didn't come together. I like this road a lot but it doesn't make for the best video in my opinion, but I wanted to share the pov anyway. I'm not sure if I like the secondary camera setup the way it is so I may adjust it to find the best way to use it as the videos progress. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve it when it...

The 701 looks a lot different in this video than in the previous one. I'll explain in another video soon. This one was a cold ride but well worth it as the roads were empty and conditions were great for filming. Hope you enjoy this pure sound rainy day forest ride pov. Welcome to the first official video on my channel. This is my 2021 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto. In this video I go over the modifications already done to the bike, brief specs, talk about my future plans with it and showcase pov ride footage with pure exhaust sound from the FMF 4.1 exhaust and titanium Tekmo header. Thanks for watching! If you want to see photos and more of what I’m doing follow me...
Hi friend, you have a really clear sound... Could I ask what you use to record both video and audio? And especially, where did you place the microphone? I'd love to use the same equipment for my walking tours...
@@RomaWalkingTour Thank you I appreciate that a lot. I use a H1N audio recorder that’s placed in my backpack facing the exhaust and I use a GoPro 11 for the POV camera.

how do you check how much gas is in your bike?
can you make a video about it?
@@STEALTHKILLER-u4d there isn’t really a way to check. A fuel light will come on to let you know it’s time to fill up.

It's a great bike. Supermotos are a lot of fun.
I definitely agree.
The bike's looking mint in the black plastics, I'm inspired. Great content brother, nice to see more people in the 701 community. An easy sub for me!
Thank you that means a lot! I really appreciate it.
i might of missed it, did he say anything about the tail tidy?
It’s an Amazon tail tidy. The previous owner did it. It sometimes works sometimes doesn’t. Needs to be re wired properly I think so it’ll work perfect.
What State is this? It's so beautiful!
Washington state! It definitely is I agree.
Great video, man. Very high quality and your bike looks great!
Thank you. Really appreciate that a whole lot!
I wish they had an option to buy these stock in Black.

Is it possible to ride this as a returning rider (I have ridden light enduro many years ago 2 stroke - 125 and 300) as I'm 110 kgs and most machines are either too small for me (250) or too sporty for me (450). I'm looking for about 100-150 kilometers on the highway if I need it - will I be able to do it with this one? To be clear - can I ride this slow? I can see you can ride it fast... Does it overheat in trafic?
I personally wouldn’t recommend this bike to do a lot of highway miles. It can definitely do it but there’s no wind protection and the seat isn’t comfortable enough to enjoy it on the highway for long distances. You can ride this bike slow if you want but you’ll definitely want to install the fuel dongle to help smooth the bike out at lower speeds. I haven’t had any overheating issues in traffic yet, but it also is just now entering the summer where I’m located. If you want to do a mix of highway and some offroad riding maybe an adventure bike would be a better option. There’s also an enduro version of this bike that may have some wind protection options and would be better suited to what you’re looking for. The 701sm and 701 enduro are both highly customizable and the seat can be replaced with a comfort version.
@@noahlaughlin I'm just window shopping right now, but I dont like the "adventure" bikes as they are really heavy. I come from a background were you can lift your bike if you need to. The TM 300 I use to ride back in the day was 86 kg without the fuel...
@@hristo.bogdanov I’m pretty limited in my riding experience as this is my second bike and second season riding. These bikes aren’t super heavy but it’s heavy enough that it’s hard to pick up on either end.
I like your videos bro keep it up ❤️❤
Thank you very much. That means a lot!
Awesome video and insanely beautiful landscapes! How do you place your microphone to avoid wind noise?
Thank you I appreciate that a lot. I have the audio recorder in the bottom pouch of my backpack facing the exhaust. Since it’s behind me it helps get rid of a lot of wind noise.
@@noahlaughlin Ahh, my audio always sounds damped when i put the microphone in something with harder fabric. Do you do any heavy audio processing while editing to get it so clean?
@@braxen690 I just use a h1n audio recorder and the backpack I have is from fox racing. It’s pretty lightweight and not super thick. I don’t do any audio editing in post except turn it up a bit.
@@noahlaughlin Ahh okay, you get amazing results then with a pretty simple setup!
@@braxen690 Mostreet has a great tutorial on his channel about how to set the visual and audio up.
So so sick, those mirrors legal in Canada?
Thank you very much. I appreciate that. I don’t live in Canada so I couldn’t tell you. Here the police don’t really bother bikers much.

I have a 690 and to me yours seems really sluggish or are you just not opening the throttle full ?
Not opening the throttle all the way and my bike isn’t tuned. Also was riding on gravel and dirt here so definitely didn’t need to go full throttle.
@@noahlaughlin I meant the beginning were your not on gravel but yeah if you haven’t had it tuned that’s most likely why mine rips off even half throttle :D

Enjoyed the ride thanxalot! Sounds good from over here. What's the flashing orange all about?
Thank you I appreciate it. That’s the traction light coming on cause the rear wheel breaking loose.
How do you like living out there honestly? From my perspective landscape is beautiful compared to city life, but I imagine it can get a bit lonely? P.S. Love watching your videos. It can take awhile to establish a foundation on RUclips but you're off to a great start purely off of Riding POV's instead of Vlogging which is impressive.
I enjoy living here in eastern Washington a lot. The Pacific Northwest especially near the ocean has some of the most beautiful landscape in the United States. There’s a pretty large city where I live so you can get a mix of open country and busy city life. I just prefer making videos where there’s trees, nature and twisty roads. Thank you for saying that I’m really glad you enjoy watching them.

Great vid and ride, but that exhaust is so obnoxiously loyd, my neighbour came in and asked me to shut that thing off 😅 i'm on my phone 😂 super cool bike tho 😄
Thanks I appreciate it. It’s definitely pretty loud. 120 decibels.
Sweet build dude. I’m at the same spot as you are, but with a 690. Graphics kit, stealth mirrors, fender eliminator. Thanks for the idea of just painting my orange hand guards to match my kit. Which skid plate did you go with?
Really appreciate that. Thank you! I don’t have a plate to cover for the engine yet but I’m thinking the carbon kit from Rottweiler. That’ll be next season tho.
How does this feel compared to a 450?
I personally have never been on a 450 but I know they are lighter than a 701/690. From what I’ve been told 450 supermotos are fast and have lots of torque.
@@noahlaughlin surely probably not quite as refined of a road going bike as this one. Is there a stabilizer on this bike?
@@foxxrider250r no steering stabilizer on this from the factory.
Does that Tekmo powerbomb header affect sound in any kind ? Sounds like tractor ngl c:
Maybe only slightly. This fmf titanium muffler and tekmo titanium header is a popular setup. It’s pretty much straight through from the engine to the muffler. It’s 120 decibels. So it’s loud.
@@noahlaughlin I'm running EVO 1 kit, it's also around 120dB, intake gives a lot, thinking to change header aswell, it gives a bit torque at mid rpm's aswell as EVO kit - it's around 86hp@6000rpm at crank, but you loose top rpm power, with bowerbomb it will move torque even further so yeah, pretty much a tractor with insane 87-89hp@5300-5500 at crank, dyno will show ~75hp(74Nm)
@@jebatkapat I’m planning on adding a ton more parts next year as well as a tune. Definitely wanna get more power.
@@noahlaughlin My reccomendation: Good slipon (any) DNA intake (EVO1/EVO2) Fuel dongle SAS removal Header Dyno jet with map switch Proshift (false neutral killer) Quickshift (OP asf) Reinforced clutch (rottweiller) Rekluse slave cylinder (stock is crap) Abs dongle, when you turn off abs it turns it off only for rear wheel (I just deleted whole abs who cares lmao) Damper? Maybe idk And also a good luck and patience
