I feel for you not having a better place to mount your phone. I have the Rogue with mini apes and i mount mine to the vert part of the handlebar so the phone sits just above my speedo. Pipes sound nice but I'm going with Bassani for a less ear-bleedy experience. Initially looked for V&H but they're out of stock pretty much everywhere except USA import to canada
Just got a used scout..... stock pipes too quiet, vance and hines too loud for the quiet subdivisions.... was wondering how much difference the quiet baffles would make..... this sounds good tho. Might pull the trigger on it.
Not much difference at all, and they tend to get REALLY stuck, and difficult to pull out. If anything, they gave the bike some weird “bubbly” type sound I found unpleasant. I didn’t have them more than a week before I took them out.
@detroitmiim I ended up getting them. Did a (terrible) video on it. But yeah, they don't make a HUGE difference. I did end up keeping the vance pipes with the quiet baffles. They aren't quite as harsh or noisy with the baffles in, but still barks nice when you get on it. I like it.
I listened to the bike without the stock pipes on and the quiet baffles reduce some of the bite on the pop. There are some videos I have seen that shows it lowers the sound by a couple of decibels at idle using sound meters. I do wear earplugs but the sound of the pipes don't hurt without them. I used to put loud speakers in my cars though so my hearing may not be the greatest. In my biased opinion they growl beautifully and bark when ya want it to. Peoples heads do turn just from the sound and I've seen many roll up their windows as I pass.
The box has 3 part numbers on it. 1. The largest bold numbers are 21899 with Mamba/Twin Slash Quiet Baffle written underneath it. 2. TR Part No: VH7018 3. DS Part No: 1861-0571

I've seen a video and it was a couple of decibels quieter according to their meter.

Are the quiet baffles worth it? I’m looking into V&H pipes but don’t want my ears bleeding

Whats the part number for the quiet baffles? Who has the S&S Air intake in stock? 2022 Bobber Twenty build in the works

Wait till you put that S&S Air intake on and hear it with those V&H! So much more attitude and you’ll have a bigger grin On your face 😁
Ya it always makes me grin.
This is crazy.... I've been researching an Indian Scout for my first bike. Specifically to ride on Hines Drive!
Hope this helped.
