You're supposed to use a vinyl spray for the headliner fabric because it's alot more thinner, like a shirt. The duplicolor spray is for carpets. That'll eventually get hard and brittle
What he is using is vinal and fabric spray . I have same thing in my e46 , if you do it right it doesn't get hard or brittle

With a finish like this without sanding the clear that would be the quality of the clear itself.
